I can't get a hold of anybody in the SCCA. Anybody know who to call in the billings area to give it a shot?

What do you need to know? I am in the club and could answer most questions.

bringing down 4 new to the scca drivers and 3 cars. Would like to enter 2 drivers with one of the cars, is this possible? one of our crew is 20, not 21 and we were wondering if there is important paperwork that may need to be signed by someone as a guardian or over 21, once we are there.

There is no address for the truck center place anywhere on the site. We're not from Billings, no idea how to get there or where it is. and no phone numbers to call and ask. I dropped a bunch of emails to the addresses on the site over the last few days with no replys.

We're bringing down a 91 civic with a rock stock B16 swap, a 91 rex with a GSR swap, and a 74 camaro. One of our cars, the CRX, doesn't have a hood because we just did an engine swap on it, and it doesn't close. Waiting for a new hood. Don't know about rulings on body panels.

One of our cars the 91 civic, I have been told is noisy, even though it has mufflers. I want to make sure we're okay on that perhaps as a first timer thing. I see there is mention of noise on the yellowstone scca site, so I'm checking.

Mostly, before we load 4 drivers and 3 cars on trailers and drive nearly 300 miles one way, we want to make sure we have our ducks in a row. I'm sure there is something we should need to know ahead of time. Smile We have no illusions of grandeur. Just want to have a good time with the family in a safe, organized environment. So we're trying to be responsible and ask questions and be ready when we get there. Don't want to hold up the show by being noobs. Smile

Thanks for any and all help.

Pretty sure that you are fine. As long as you have good tires, battery tie down, seat belts, steering wheel, and brakes you can race. Being under 21 is also not an issue. The hood I am not sure, but I am about 99% sure you are ok without.

BTW The more noise the better.

heck i wish I didn't have a hood when my engine caught on fire at that Metra scca event. freaking latches were hanging up then finally got the hood open.....

i would just consider no ohood a sefety option. I would call it the fire marshall hood delet option. lol

You will be fine on everything you listed. The two drivers for one car is not a problem. The hood is also not a problem. As long a everyone is 18 there is no extra paperwork. As Mike said, make sure your battery is bolted down, seatbelts are in good shape, and if you pull on the top of the tire it is solid. 5230 Holiday Avenue is the address.

Hopefully you make it down. It will be good to see some new cars around.
