So here is a question Randy, I would consider MAEC a car club, would it only be $25 for members? I think that would help with turnout. Pretty sure I would start racing again for $25.

More than likely will not be racing, but I will be there on Sunday to check it out.

Why would you want to race a bike? There is nowhere in the state that hosts a race big enough to make a bike even competitive unless you consider drag racing .....racing. Ever time I play with bikes on the twisties they just get in the way and get pissed at me for tailgating.
Now if all you want to do is show up and make a bunch of smoke with your legs over the handle bars as you leave a burnout through the entire course while doing stunts that would be cool
But as far as actually TRYING to race competitively bike has no chance in this kind of racing.... you'd need a bigger race track to clean up with. but that;s just my opinion. not say bikes are slow cause they aren't.... just not as fast as a car in this TYPE of racing.... Lewistown might be the only place that might be interesting... depends on how the track is setup.... but it's not wide enough to allow bikes. most of the turns the bike would take up the whole track when you lay it down for a turn.

I don't know about the discount, that would not be my call. I can ask the powers that be. As far as bikes, they are a not allowed due to safety concerns. Mike, I don't think you have raced this year so the first time would only be $20 anyway.

Racing bikes would be pretty sweet, but the fact is there just isnt enough room for a bike to really get going. I cannot even get my car up to speed!
I will talk with Scott about the discount when I see him Sunday.

Also wanted to note that when you show up to the Auto-X, please go directly to the trailer and sign the liability form. I dont want any of the MAEC crew getting yelled at for not having signed it (this also includes people that are just spectating). If you are on the grounds, you have to sign the form.

Cannot believe I am actually going to an SCCA event this year, I must be hard up for some sort of racing action.
Kind of wish my car was prepped and ready to go, but there are a few things I still need to do before I start racing it. Really dont want to screw anything up 1 month before Lewistown.

Thanks for the good time folks. 600 mile round trip from Glasgow and it was worth it.
You'll probably see us again.

You should come down again! In fact, I think we should make Sept a totally radical race month.
September 5th there is an event in Billings at Skyview (which is usually a fun course, probably better than Sundays)
September 11th, come to Lewistown with everyone! It's a blast.
September 19th, I plan on going to Great Falls to run Malstrom AFB for the first time, after seeing the video below, I decided I NEED to go up there. I also heard from Eric (f20bs) that they might be getting closing down the AFB to SCCA because they're up for some sort of contract to have small planes again.
If anyone wants to hit all three events together, we should!
Check this video of the AFB out... SSIIIICCKKKKK!

If you thought that was fun, Lewistown is about 1 million times more exciting. 2.5 mile track and there is no waiting around. Everyone goes all day as much as they want.
