My 1320'' project (lots of pics) its just a SOHC!

Well today I got my 94 civic back and the excitment and joy I have am feeling words can not express it..As most know I owned and started putting this car together like 4 years ago. Well somethings in life happened and it got parked for last 31/2 years.. Well some how some way the stars alighned just right and I got the chance to get it back..I jumped on it like a fat kid on cake lol..I cannot wait to start tearing into this thing and getting it the way it should be..Gonna be a project but I am looking forward to every min that I get to work on it..Hopefully I will have it out at the track to see what she is capable of next year " if we have one"..

nice civic ben. your right you have been building it for awhile. had a guy try to sell me this car. im sure you know who it was. funny thing is he was telling me he built it all. glad you got it back. ive seen it sitting in front of that garage for years.

are those speed holes in the rear bumper.

actually im kinda curious why there are holes, to reduce the air from staying behind the bumper is my only guess lol

it may be a bad guess but only one in my head unless those are speed holes that homer simpson helped with

No track this year... Still got alot to do to it..Engine managment,repipe the turbo system pull everything out inspect replace anything it might need since its been sitting so long...Be a busy winter project for me with this

got the haggered 17''s off and put the 16''s I had sitting in my garage on today..Did some inspecting and motor and turbo are checking out good so far..Probably tear it all down though and look at the insides..Need to find some 14'' hx wheels though or some si's or something..Thinking about changing the turbo to a little smaller that gt3076r is pretty big and boost is in at over 5000rpm..Who knows might just try it and see 1st...

Take that back, a 3076 isn't big, well I guess maybe for the SOHC but thats one sweet turbo. I'm sure you could get plenty of people willing to swap you out for a 3071 which would make the same power but spool quicker. Glad to see you got it back.

Let me know if you need some injectors! I'm looking to get rid of a set of precisions with 5 passes on them

I would try that turbo first!! But I know of a Gt3071 that will be for sale!!

Ya I am gonna try turbo first just cuz I think with the 59300 comp cam and all the head work it should do good..Well we will see..Plus got enough other stuff to get first..haha...

Well took the head off this morning to see how everything inside was looking considering car has been sitting for 4 years...And so I will be taking block apart and sending to the machine shop and either get new rings or go with different pistons. Havnt decided yet..

What compression where you running? What pistons are in there? I'd love to build a 10:1 boosted motor someday. Mix in a twin scroll manifold and your'd have insane low end even on a mid sized turbo.

I am waiting on folder with info cuz I cant remember for the life of me what pistons or compression Golden Eagle put in there when they did build..

Well took on the task today of getting rid of the ABS unit on the coupe!! Now just gotta do some junk yard searching and get all brake lines etc from a non ABS car...Think this will be alot easier task then I thought it was gonna be!! We will soon find out

^^^ ask Jason what it like to have your brakes lock up on you at 100+mph! ABS isn't always a bad thing to have.

If its a drag car like what he's building I wouldn't worry about locking them up, there is plenty of room to stop out there, I know since I also had my brake booster line pop off at 130 and it scared me thinking I didn't have brakes for a second, then I quickly realized I just needed a heavier foot!

Ya if it was gonna be street driven or even anything besides a straight line car I would of kept it but since it will only be a 1/4 mile queen gotta make more room and shed some weight lol

you and your projects ben. the hatch will look good lowered. you just plan on leaving the SOHC in it for now?

LOL thats what my fiance says haha...Ya the hatch is kinda of on the back burner. It only gets parts if I do some kind of trading or something lol...The coupe is my main focus gotta have that done for summer of 2011. Block will hopefully be getting sent off to Golden Eagle here real soon. Got some things in the works for this car hopefully everything starts coming together... Time will tell!!!!
