Maybe i will see it in person someday, I have seen the car around a few times before. It actually looks way better in person. The dry carbon look really pops when it is in the right light and you are next to it. It looks especially cool under some of the street lighting at night. Can't wait to actually get the thing out now. Been working on it for a few weeks and didn't really think it is that cool to drive around a car with a black hood, roof, trunk, and doors when the rest of the car is bright blue.

Actually I already have coilovers on it. They are just set higher because the wheels are so wide that I get fender rub...still need to roll those fenders sometime I think.

I cost me right at 1K for all of the wrap(told the wife it was $450 so I didn't get yelled at). I got a 48"x50' roll. I still need to wrap the wing at some point but I don't think I have enough. I will have to either piece it together with some remnints or just order some more. I tried to keep the drop to a minimum but sometimes there is just so much you can save.

I took about 20 hours and a few times of throwing the squeegy and cussing in order to really get a feel for how the wrap behaves. I have noticed these last couple of days I am still battling some bubbles. When the car sits out in the sun the places around deep grooves or 90 degree inside corners want to bubble up or pull away so I have had to heat I back up with the heat gun and lance a small hole for the air to escape and push the area back down. Hopefully after a while it will start to settle out and stay put.

Get some day shots of that beast!! Yep I did redo the hood scoop...that was about the point where I was starting to understand the capabilities and how to handle the vinyl.

Thanks that is exactly what I was going for. I see more and more blue rex's and STi's around so I decided after 4 1/2 years I need to switch it up and make it unique. I still have my staock BBS wheels with my winter tires on them and I am still tossing around the idea of painting them black or a dark gunmetal type color.

| I think this is brilliant. For one, you did this yourself. second, you are gutsy enough to take the project on and be successful. I feel that learning and doing yourself makes the change you made that much more awesome and legitemate. Nice job dude. So happy that you did this. It is a new step forward for Montana Auto Enthisiasts for sure. | |

| Man, I have to commend you on the amazing amount of patience you must have. Just doing my roof the other night on my car was about frustrating enough for me to say "F-it" at a couple points and give up. It is a ROYAL PAIN IN THE ASS to get around curves and to look properly. Just the "bubble" shape of my roof was hard enough. I couldn't imagine wrapping bumper corners, and all the little intrinsice corners you don't realize are in a car until you're doing it. Did you by chance buy any of the adhesion promoter? The only drawback I can see to this is that in 4-5 years when this stuff starts to fade (according to mfgr lifespan), you'll either have to re-wrap the whole car, or probably get it repainted. I wrapped my roof for the simple fact I wanted to fix the dents in it, and knew I'd never get anyone to be able to match the faded paint, lol. 3M does say that "They cannot guarantee that it will not pull the paint off the substrate when removing". Oh, an the ashesion promoter (although I didn't get 3M) works wonders for other stuff too! I used it again last night on my latest mod, and am going to use some more if it today too! I love this stuff! It is only $18.XX @ NCS. | |

Yeah Jared and Chelsea are cool. Haha about the mural! No we have taken care of all of the crazy paintings all over the house. You wouldn't even recognize this place anymore on the inside. I have replaced every floor and painted every room so it looks a lot better now.

Yeah you too playa. It is kinda weird how when it is overcast like it was the car looks flat black/gray but in the sunlight it has a strange reflective sheen to it. I likely cause it is different. You get rid of your black WRX and get a blue STi and I turn my blue STi into a black one...what the hell is going on here?

All I have left is a few scraps...probably not enough to even do a laptop. I ended up having to splice pieces together for the car and then hide the seams. Go to metrorestyling.com or carbonfilms.com. You can get the 3M Di-Noc carbon vinyl there.

| Here is an idea for your fender rubbing issues, and it's already carbon fiber for you. Just go steal them! Too bad Cobb spent all their time building a full carbon fiber car rather than worrying about if it ran good, the day I was there it never made it out of the garage. | |

Haha dumbasses! Maybe COBB should stick to what they are good at...Accessport and susupension components. I actually don't have a problem with the wheels rubbing my fenders. The coilovers are set pretty stiff so I don't have a problem.
