PostSubject: vehicle break-ins. to much stuff getting stolen    vehicle break-ins. to much stuff getting stolen Icon_minitimeSeptember 27th 2010, 11:19 pm

So i know we already have a thread about this. but heres the deal i have a close friend who has had 4 of his vehicles broken into this week so keep your eyes open cause it getting crazy. not one of his vehicle got a window broken out it seems that they are ( whoever is break into things) using a slimjim and popping doors open. only a few thing got stolen from his vehicle but its still the point you dont steal other peoples stuff. he heard his car alarm beep so he got up to see what was going on. his street is very bright with light and that didnt seem to stop them. he said it was 4 guys that were breaking into his vehicles. he tried chasing them down but they got away. so he called the cops turns out that 6 other vehicles on his block that night were broken into. so if you have a garage id use it. i have a feeling it will only get worse over time. he ssaid the vehicle the guys jumped into was a red chevy truck with loud exhaust. i no there could be a ton of red trucks like that but thats all he could make of it at 4 am. only things the cops could do was finger print every vehicle that got broke into and thats it so far. he hasnt heard anything back yet.

funyn thing is he even grabbed his 45. he took it in case they turned on him. he said the cop even saw he had the gun on him and asked if he used it. the cop said he should have told them to freeze and fire a shoot in the ground. but im not so sure how smart that would have been. probably would have just back fired on him. then he could have been in some real trouble.

there is a red truck roaming the city lately lifted with loud exhaust and has plastic-looking bucket seats in the truck bed next time I see it parked I'll snap a shot of it and post it up on this thread that way you can hand it to your friend and see if his neighbors recognize it

a shot in your lawn wont hurt anything but your sprinkler system. and if a cop said to do it DO IT. But dont shoot them, even a shot in the leg can land you in way more legal trouble than its worth. if you can get close enough a tazer would be safer for the perp and for your checkbook. They are cheap and will immobilize anyone. (and its not our job to just dish out capitol punishment willy nilly, let the legal system do its job) good luck to your buddy. Will have an eye out and an ear to the ground.

funny thing you say a tazer cause ive have been looking at a few for myself. right now im looking at the X26. its the tazer the cops use. its either the x26 tazer or a glock sub compact .45 still up in the air at this point. biggest problem with the tazer is it about $850 and the glock is $600. the thing i like about the tazer is it has less of a chance of killing someone but will put a hell of a hurtin on somebody. but one down fall is you only have one shot. so you better be a good shot. but i would not even think twice to use the tazer first chance i got id use it Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy

word of advice. if you have to shoot someone, you have to drag them back onto your proporty. (i didnt say kill), then you do not get into trouble. also you can only shoot if you see them in action.

My weapon of choice are(2) 100lbs catahoula hounds. i want to see the bastards take down bear hunting dogs. lol.

I'm frankly shocked that the police told you to fire your weapon at a fleeing suspect outside your property.

I wouldn't listen to that whatsoever. Unless you have that cop on tape telling you to do it if something happens because of discharging a weapon in those circumstances you will be completely fucked in court.

yeah do not discharge a firarm in the city unless u feel like your life is in danger . u will regret it , best advice if you feel like your shit is bein targeted by these assholes is to get a camera and set it up , sucks but all this cowboy stufff you guys keep talking about will land u jail
, case in point - burgler was walking on a roof and fell threw a skylight , he sued the people and he won , this took place in atlanta 2 years ago., remember the law isnt concerned with justice , the law on serves itself . so watch what u say becasue if sumthing does happen and you do get into a confrontation , they can use what has been said here as motive,

dont let 30 seconds of foolishness cost u many years of your life ..

dont buy a glock they are the biggest peices of shit you can buy for that same $600 you can get a springfield xd or xdm(the xdm is currently the most accurate handgun and the 2009 nra handgun of the year and thats what i have. traded in my glock for it) and it has been proven that people can overpower tasers especially the x26 with the barbs. if they grab the wire and pull lightly it breaks cause its not strong and the charge is over

thats a bad example of our justice system. and thats only 1 burglar case out of probably more then 100,000. so that a pretty inappropriate choice of burglar stories to tell cause it shows nothing but in that 1 case justice didnt pull through. 1 case in 1 city 1 time! they have been a few stories through the times like this but so few and far between that thats the only reason anyone heres about it!

It's a question of risk vs. reward. In this case the suspects were fleeing and they didn't get away with anything.

Firing a weapon under those circumstances seems clearly to be a stupid fucking idea. Concentrate on how they look and give the best description you can to the cops. That's all you should do.

Well.. It might be OK to yell a hearty "FUCK YOU JACKASSES" to them as they run away. lol

If stuff in your car is really worth killing someone over you really ought to reconsider your priorities. If it's that important to you, keep it some place more secure!

ok gangsta gangsta!!!! lol . Calm down you are putting hostile words out there in this post and another .. No need for all that!!!
Its suppose to be a friendly conversation..

and lets say you are actually able to pull the trigger shoot this person while on the run.. Then lets go with the odds of if you were able to shoot them and then lets bring another reality in to play you kill them cuz your aim isnt what you think it is in that kind of situation... Now you get to go to prison for rest of yopur life and you get to live with fact that you took another human life..No thanks I wouldnt want those thoughts nightmares over a fing ipod or something else stupid like that...Come on think about ur actions and not the 1st five mins of your actions.. the long term ones and all the what ifs that could happen

Its not like were breaking into your home and trying to harm you or your loved ones..Now thats awhole nother story...

If you shoot someone when they are running away you are an idiot anyways. Self-defense will NEVER hold up in court if they have a round in their back. What were you defending, the lasers they shoot out of their shoulder blades.
Also, if you shoot, shoot to kill. The law is a lot easier to work with if they are just a body, and not someone wounded who could have a story that could hold up.
Just like a cop, if they have to pull the trigger they are supposed to shoot to kill, becuase they are only supposed to shoot in life and death situations.
Oh...and by the way, thread getting out of hand. locked.

my car was stolen a few weeks ago.. guy took stuff from inside.. golf clubs, radio, ect.... one of the worst experiences ever. i hate whoever did this to me. but i don't think its worth killing him. yeah i want him to rot in jail lol but it aint a situation to kill someone.
He also stole my library card and is now using my library card to steal from the public library!!! he steals the books and dvds....... we get the bills....... so we went down there and brought the police report and all that and told them, hey this isn't us keeping the books and stuff so you shouldn't charge us. and also we asked if they could mark in the computer that next time he comes back and uses the card, that they should call the police because he's a criminal. well the lady was a stuck up beeotch and said, literallly this is exactly what she said, "no, librarians don't do that sort of thing..."
WOW REALLY! that would be the easiest possible way of catching him and she's to lazy to do anything about it!!!!!!!!! c'mon!!!
Oh well at least i have my car back....

you guys need to relax's . i was just throwing this up to let people know whats going on. I personally would never kill somebody over breaking into my vehicle. but i would cause bodily injury if i caught them. that might sound alittle over board but so is breaking into my stuff. to some people a car is a car. but to me its my life style. its something i spend most of my spare time on and for somebody to just vandalize it. just kills me. thats just how i feel. if your man enough to break into my stuff you should be man enough to take the punishment if caught.

I love my cars just as much if not more than alot.. I am just saying that I think peoples thoughts of what they would do to said person is a little overboard..Catching the guy giving him a asss whooping is well deserved in that situation..But bringing a gun into well I dont feel it is worth my freedom..Laws protect criminals way to much..

I never said you would kill anyone.. I said what if your aim isnt what you think it is and it happens...I am pointing out the worst case..Givining you something to think about!!

And as for your comment about live in a Big City? have you?... I have many of them most of them were awesome were people cool and polite, but if you went to the wrong sides then it was a whole different story, thought process was completely different( this is where all the ignorance was the acting before thinking, the putting on a show, etc) I also lived in Germany were the police carry automatics and will shoot 1st asked questions last, were a hungarian will stab you cuz your an American ( and were I had some of the best times of my life, great memorys and experiences).... I have seen the ignorance been apart of the ignorance and most importantly I learned from the ignorance...I have seen things and had things happen to me that most will never have to deal with in real life.......And this is why I say think before you act or speak you never know what will happen next or the response you will get!!!!! ( I am getting wiser in my old age well wiser than I was, so learn from my mistakes) LOL

As for me calling you Gangsta gangsta I did that in humor because of the way you are talking..In my opinion you are coming off as some thug wanna be....But I shouldnt of assumed that its the internet and its hard to tell in writing.. So I apologize shouldnt of called u that...I am sure your not one of those guys thug wanna be..hat to side you know the stereotype of a thug...hahaha (me being funny right here)

And as for ur comment about being hated here..Well that doesnt purtain to me cuz I dont know you..I have only gotten my thoughts of you from your comments on this forum

They are cheap and will immobilize anyone. (and its not our job to just dish out capitol punishment willy nilly, let the legal system do its job) good luck to your buddy. Will have an eye out and an ear to the ground.

funny thing you say a tazer cause ive have been looking at a few for myself. right now im looking at the X26. its the tazer the cops use. its either the x26 tazer or a glock sub compact .45 still up in the air at this point. biggest problem with the tazer is it about $850 and the glock is $600. the thing i like about the tazer is it has less of a chance of killing someone but will put a hell of a hurtin on somebody. but one down fall is you only have one shot. so you better be a good shot. but i would not even think twice to use the tazer first chance i got id use it Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy
dont buy a glock they are the biggest peices of shit you can buy for that same $600 you can get a springfield xd or xdm(the xdm is currently the most accurate handgun and the 2009 nra handgun of the year and thats what i have. traded in my glock for it) and it has been proven that people can overpower tasers especially the x26 with the barbs. if they grab the wire and pull lightly it breaks cause its not strong and the charge is over

ding ding ding. XD's and XD-M's are where its at!

I've never shot a glock that was half as accurate as the Springfields. Everyone I know who has a semi-auto has a Springfield, for one reason - they work, and are accurate.

and ben, I dont have a kid. I have a car.

Dont take this the wrong way..But I shoot guns also as I am sure alot of people on here do..Some reason cars and guns go hand and hand..

What I am saying though is target shooting is a controled envirmorment! Where you have all the time in the world to line up the shot..Correct?

Now your in a situation where like subject of this thread someone is breaking into your car.. You come out running gun up they take off running...So now your aiming at a moving target which alone is a hard shot to be dead on but we havnt even added factor that your running, blood is pumping, heart is racing, and your emotions are going crazy...Now with all those factors can you say you will 100% hit excactly where your aiming...I bet money no chance in hell!!!!

Now do you see why I say I wouldnt bring a gun out for a ipod, or a cd or something else silly worst case your talking a couple hundred dollars in loss...Now I dont know about you but is going to prison worth that..Sure isnt to me...

Just want to give you a different way to look at it..........Guns arnt meant to grab just cuz you own one...Sometimes all that is needed is your hands feet and mind to catch that criminal...

yeah i get that bro but i can sit here and try and explain myself over and over again and tell you that i practice shooting scenarios(i.e. mutiple targets that i shoot at while im on the move) when we shoot we create different situations so we can be well rounded shooters. the ONLY time we sit ther and line up our sshots are when we shoot our hunting rifles! and you probably wont beleive me but it will take more then someone breaking into my car to make me all excited as you put it. i stay pretty calm but its because i fear no death or man with or without a gun. but i get what you saying trust me and i was just saying you steal my shit your getting a gun pointed at you! to me its worth it!

Well, what I was getting at is that if someone was trying to steal my car (and they'd have to be in my garage to do it anymore) I'd really have no remorse putting bullet holes in the side of it. My house is my castle, and I can defend it in any way I want. If they were running away I wouldn't shoot and I most likely wouldn't shoot at all, but I wouldn't hesitate to hold them at gun point until the police showed up. That would be my main intention of pulling one of my guns out, to scare them and keep them from trying to run.

I would also be the guy to sneak up behind someone while in the act if caught and let them know I was there from 5 feet away, and simply tell them to get on the ground. Then and only then if they decided to act rash and try doing anything to me would I pull the trigger. I would honestly only shoot in self defense and only if they had broken into a structure on my property. I don't really want to be slinging bullets into the neighbors' houses, if I can avoid it. My rounds I load are pretty hot, and if hit with one of my XTP rounds from my .45 in the shoulder, chances are an intruder would no longer have an arm...

so my car got broken into this morning. broken window of course but the first thing i noticed was the hood was popped, opened it up and out of all things they stole my radiator! which sucks but is ok cause it was leaking anyways, so someone has a broken radiator. haha suckers! go inside the car they stole my info from my glovebox and my aftermarket pillar pod and gauges. thats all I've noticed so far I'm just taking the time to calm down now and sort things through. the thing that pisses me off the most is that they took the time to pop my hood and steal the radiator so I cant drive it! If anyone has any replacement parts please let me know!

Your radiator? Jesus man, Whoever did it must be broke as a joke, because they're only $40 on ebay shipped (they were when I got one for the wagovan in the spring at least).

i think it weird that they took your registration and insurance stuff. the only reason i see for that is that they might be trying to get plates for a civic of there own maybe. i dont know.
