Just a little curious about the local 2011 race season!!!!

Well I am just a little curious about something! Who on here plans on racing in the 2011 season? What will you be racing? What events are you gonna be racing ( drag strip, scca, or attending the MAEC lewistown track days) ?


Ill start just to get ball rolling!

94 CIVIC drag strip only with this thing, and hopefully will have it out for 1st race of season but as long as it gets out in 2011 I will be happy!

04 WRX wagon, plan to take it to lewistown, possible a couple scca events and maybe a beartooth run...

Your honda i saw some pics its sick that the old coupe that custom rides had is it not???? what has been done since i saw it surface last???

Thanks!! Well considering that I use to own custom rides yes it was the one that was at that shop!! There has been way to many changes and there are alot more in store for it!! Way to much to type here..Check the thread my 1320 project I try to keep it updated

I don't think anyone knows whether we'll be having a season at Acton next year. AFAIK the track is still up for sale and hasn't sold.

Well shoot ben I am looking foward to seeing the ride and what all has been done hope its faster than ever!!! i need pointers on my turbo car you should help me figure out how to set up my ride a lil more i have a good idea!!!!

fact and proven, they r gonna have a couple slow funny cars lol. the ones that only fun 6.50s and some guys are tryin to setup a race for the ten five tires. which wud be kinda cool. most of the cars i guess run 7.50s around there. But i have seen a menholt personally pull out a schedule infront of me. they just sont have the dates for the races set in stone im guessing. I dont know why they havent posted it out or maybe they do. but as previous statement they r racing this year

Can't afford to race this year. Definitely gonna try and spectate a few times though. I can think of a lot worse things to do with a Friday or Saturday evening.

i can think of a few things bad to no doubt ,, jus hope the car even runs if not sell the pile of junk haha ..

I'll be taking the talon out to the track as soon as possible and cutting a few stock runs, hopefully blowing the s**t up out of the crappy tranny that is in there now.

Is there any dates set for YDS yet. I'm going to be ready this year for sure now that I have a job. I'm going to try to get 14 flat.

I'm sure I'll be out there (Acton), not sure in, or on, what though.

If I still have my Evo, I'll try to make a Lewistown, if not, maybe the Syclone would be fun to take there for a lap or two.

Good to hear that Acton is still a go, wish one of the $$ families that are big into drag racing would just buy and run the damn track. This uncertainty crap is stressful.

Barney 14 flat? I thot you had a stroker motor or somethin? I ran a 14.6 with intake, exhaust, gears, and radials.

Oh haha Its hard to tell if some one is being serious or not on posts.

His 08 with a couple boltons might be a 14 flat car if that's the one he's talking about.

What are you hopin to run with the new KB Riptide?

Can't afford to break the car until I pay off the KB and my wife's 09 ford focus. And I need drag radials. So probably won't be tracking it this summer. Money issues more or less.

Well I got to be a smart ass just to keep me from going insane trying to get this car done. Man Owen that sucks I'm really curious how it's going to run. I wanted to do somethings to the 08 but one project at a time I keep telling myself.

Kinda disappointed myself but I'm just to much of a pussy to seriously risk 'sploding the car before I have the supercharger paid for. Next year I'll have a lot off my plate and money to buy tires and a line lock.

Do you have any mods on your 08? An intake, tune, and a set of gears would knock over 1/2 second off your ET no problem and they are fairly cheap.

Nothing done to it yet, just trying to get the 84 done so I can have something quick to burn around in.

Hay sammy are you getting more cubes this year or what.

Hopefully I'll get the GT done for the first race of the season
