| Kirk is fighting a Gorn in that one. Both his ship and the Gorn ship are being held by another group of aliens that have powers they can't do anything against. It turns out that Kirk wins because he is merciful on the Gorn and does not finish him off. Kirk created a weapon with the materials that were present in the area. Gunpowder, a primitive gun. He used it to injure the Gorn. And yes it's considered a classic old series episode.  | |
