| Looking forward to Saturday! The weather looks to be perfect. We have around 10-13 cars committed and think we could handle about 15 max. If you know of someone thats coming and hasn't spoke up, or that has committed but cant make it, let me know so we can solicit more off-line.
We are planning on firing up the grill later on, so come on out and enjoy! Also, if someone is willing to snap some pics and maybe video a run or two that would be awesome.

| Ever notice how a dynamometer is kind of like a treadmill? There is even such a thing as world records for treadmill running. recordholders.org/en/list/treadmill.html
Will there be published results of the "Dyno Day"?

| Getting a little closer here, just wanted to confirm it starts at 9:00? I may be a little late, as I'm tearing a roof off first thing Saturday morning, should be well done by 9 though.
And it's $50? How do we pay Gary? Check? Cash?

There are ussually some disappointed people and pehaps some that may be embarassed, so i wasn't going to post everyones results, but i was thinking about linking videos from Youtube for each vehicle. If everyones ok with that we could certainly post the individual results. |

It starts at 9:00am and we're hoping to strap down the last car around 12:30 or so. Come when you can. Bring cash. $50 paid to Ryan, who will be registering cars and handling the waiver forms. Brett and i will be loading cars and hooking up the wideband / tachs. |

Sweet, will do. Can you guys use the wideband bung in my header collector? I put one in there, just plugged for now, as I haven't gotten my hands on the Innovate kit yet. I'm glad we'll be able to look at air/fuel. |

No problem... I'm sure someone can put it in your bung. Couldn't resist...sorry. I have the innovate LC-1 set up in my car. I didn't want a gauge, so i use my laptop and check it when ever i make a change to my set up. You will have to check it out. IMHO, Innovate is the way to go. Brett has their latest in his '88. The gauge has the LC1 built in and it's slick! It's just a gauge and an 02 sensor. |

Sweet, I'll make sure the plug comes out tonight and lube it up! Wait, whut? The innovate is on my "Project list" for the winter, then I can do some real tuning... You guys have all the tools I assume? Or do I need to bring a wrench for that plug? |

| Thanks for all who showed up. We ended up dynoing 17 vehicles and made enough to cover expenses and had a great time! No major incidents and everything went smooth. I got a video of every vehicle and am in the process of uploading them to youtube. Gary is working on copys of the dyno sheets and we should have them soon. Here are the results: [img] [/img] |

PM me your email addresses and i will forward them to you. Print outs are still coming from Gary, figured this would do for now. Thanks, Scott |

It's because the HP and TQ are not on the same scale. I've looked at some other graphs on stock-ish Lightnings like mine, and they do look somewhat similar. Maybe there is nothing wrong here? I still am blown away that my torque peaks at 2900RPM when the graph starts. Holy low-end torque batman! |

Josh, The ETA should be next week. I got the run files from Gary, but then i lost my hard drive last week and am working on getting those files back. If it isn't one thing, it's your mother...lol! Your welcome, it was worth the effort. We made enough money to cover all expenses and threw a few more bucks at Gary, because we ran a little long. |

| That dyno is way out of whack!!! I helped design and built for years that dynojet chassis dyno and if your torque curve and horse power curve doesnt cross at 5250 rpm then the numbers are wrong. Don't know if he changed something I'n the software or what but those numbers are not correct. Here's. Why. Hp=torque x rpm devided by 5250. If you can't match up your hp to your torque using that formula then the dyno is wrong!! |

Ohhhhhh shit....did you have to bring this up. Urban Dictonary: When someone is feeling all happy and opptimistic, you take your asshole self and totally break his happyness, therefore bursting his bubble. |

Well, on the screen shots we saw on the day of the runs, HP and TQ were on different graphs, at least mine were. The "Corrected" file that I just got has them on the same graph, they cross at 5250, and my torque numbers below 4000 rpms are lower. What gives? |

Sounds like the software overlaid them incorrectly. |

Gary transfered all of the run files to his new laptop w/ the WINPEP7 software. Then he sent me the files and i downloaded the software, opened the files and converted them to pdf. ALL of the 30+ runs cross @ 5250 RPM. Gary's dyno is just fine and those numbers are correct. I assume you are going by the pictures of the computer screen, but the actual run files look much different. [/url |

Looking through the scaling options on the software, it looks like Gary left off the "force scaling" when we were viewing them on his screen. It doesnt seem to mess up the numbers, only the scaling.... |

| Well, I had a great time at the dyno event. What gives with no chevy guys showing up? Next time I think we need to give them more notice Lol! We are going to put on another one in the spring. I have tuned on 4 different dynos from across the country and they are all in the ballpark. Dynos are very good tuning tools I'm surprised other guys here don't use them more. |
