| I idle at 1100-1200 which is also high imo. Have you pulled any data log with fuel parameters? What is you fuel doing when giving throttle? How did this come about??? I don't know really anything about subaru, but all need air, fuel, and spark. Hope things work out for you bro. | |

| it is extremely hard to just fry an ecm. if you have logged it and its showing 6% tps then the computer is communicating. i would check your throttle peddle | |

| Is it setting a P0506 by any chance?
Make sure throttle body assy is clean of carbon build up. Perform adaptive idle relearn precedure-seams as though you can do a poor mans version by disconnecting the battery for 15min. I would suspect that if anything is faulty it would be the stepper motor in your throttle body assy. Servicable as a whole throttle body assy for your spending pleasure.

| Is the throttle plate actually moving?
I had a brief throttle issue with my g35 that was drive by wire. Resetting the ecu and doing the "learn mode" setup got it back working.

| Does anyone have a sti ecu or know of anyone with one? i dont know if it will run or not but its worth a shot to see if the ecu is my problem before i go drop $1500 on one Im thinking the ecu is the problem because i just downloaded a map but yet my fuel table reads zeros. just like before | |

You can't just drop in a stock OBD2/CAN computer into a car and expect it to run without doing the Vin# recignition and security relearn with a sutable factory style scan tool.

This is a very valid question.... can you have someone operate the throttle pedal with key on and physically look at the throttle plate to see if it moves and responds to the pedal?

| You probably have a bad throttle body assy. You have to do a relearn on whatever one you put on for testing. | |

| Why would i have to do a relearn? this throttle body does the same as the other one. it is just a sensor with a motor . the hydra 2.5 is in limp mode or "safe mode" im talking to phil at element tuning about it now.. my map reads zeros on the ecu but when i pull it off and save it to look at it. it reads normal. | |

| I know that on my Autronic you need to reset the TPS every now and again. What I do to reset it is you unplug the TPS, turn the car to the on positon, plug it back in, give the car full throttle for 10 seconds and release.
I know the Hydra is about the same as Autronic and I have this problem from time to time. Mine will show throttle open 2%. This process fixes the problem instantly.
Hope this helps.
If you ever need any help figuring out the Hydra let me know. I beleve the setup is about identical to Autronic and I have 6 years of problem after problem. Have her pretty much figured out.
