The mods that r on it have been on it for 7k miles I live 20 miles outside of billings mostly hwy miles doest burn oil did the Subaru fuel line recall oil changed every 2500 miles tranny an rear diff every 6k use royal purple ur more than welcome to check compression Iv only ran it on 11psi

compression doesn't tell you everything. i'm just wanting the opinions of maec about how you drive that simple

I'm not bashing or hating on your thread by any mean's. but i have also seen this car come flying around me on the shepherd high a few time's. Not that i have never past anybody myself on this same highway. but when i have been passed by this car i was always going the speed limit if not 5 over. thats all i'm sayin. did you at one point also have a green civic coupe that was turbocharged? I'm not saying this wrx has been beat on cause i don't know. but i do know every time have saw this car it was haulin ass. best of luck with your sale.

Ya I did boost that civic an yes IV been seen hauling ass in this car its what I bought it for its a toy not a DD but I haven't been overly abusive to it never dropped the clutch never seen rev limit

I realize it's really not my concern, but I always thought the idea of having a quick car, (turbo import, rowdy diesel pickup, big block muscle car, etc) was to enjoy the power and acceleration that it offers. I know that we don't all know each other personally here (I think Shawn & Montoya are the only ones who posted in this thread that I've ever met) but this is a club of like minded folks, so there's no reason to be hostile. I guess if driving like a grandma is the objective then the ideal vehicle would be a Buick LeSabre or maybe a mid nineties Camry. This is, after all, the Montana Auto ENTHUSIASTS Club, no? Unless you're buying an 03 WRX from your grandma (I have seen a lady prob in her 60s driving an 08 or so Legacy GT) good luck finding one that hasn't been flogged at least a bit. That's what they're built for... cheers to fast cars and hot rodding anything with wheels. Good luck with the sale.

Damn... Makes me miss Shirley. I gotta ask though why only 11 pounds? Does it have a different turbo on it? And what kind of mods besides the front mount and EWG?

I understand that this is what we build cars for. I'm not saying don't enjoy them and drive them fast. heck i tend to drive mine a little fast also. but there is a place and time for everything. that highway is super dangerous trust me i know i have lost a few friends on it. It wasn't the fact the he pasted me it was the manner in wish i was passed . it was like i was sitting still and he came hauling ass around me and a few other car's. then had to cut in. I was heading out to my buddy's place who live's on this HWY and when i got to his place. i asked him if he had seen the wrx out this way before and he said yeah he live's right over there. then he said yeah he always drive's like that nothing new to him. but heck as long as it doesn't effect me he can drive how ever he want's if something happen's he's the one who will need to deal with the problem at hand. thats all i'm saying. carry on fella's once again good luck with your sale and your new ride.

I absolutely agree with you Shawn, I certainly wasn't trying to justify irresponsible driving - Many people I know and care about, including Jenn, drive that road and if someone hurt them while driving like a f*ck I'd be very pissed off. There is definitely a time and place. I was talking about what condition to expect from a car that is purpose built to be driven hard and enjoyed; one that is now nearly 10 years old, and the fact that it is unreasonable to expect it to be in as new condition. I was also suggesting that everybody including the original poster relax with the insults considering that even though we don't all know each other personally, it's very likely that we cross paths since, unlike many forums, we're mostly local to the Billings area and just because its not face to face doesn't make it ok to be a dick to people.
