- Bryce Suggs (owns an s14 240sx in Billings) sold me a KA24DE engine that he claimed was good and that he had videos and "proof" of it running great prior to its removal and the sale. Long story short, it has 60psi of compression and is timed incorrectly. He claimed that he had never had it apart and that it came out of his own personal car. How an engine's mechanical timing drastically changes during a trip to Missoula in the back of a Jeep is a mystery to me.
I purchased the engine from Bryce assuming he was a good guy. We were actually both hoping to purchase the same engine from a mutual contact (he wound up putting down a payment before me, hence my decision to buy his engine) and we shared a common interest in drifting. Bryce is trying to organize future drift events and wanted me to be involved. I no longer have an interest in said events or anything he may be involved with in the future. I trusted him and that turned out to be against my best interests. He is no longer responding to my attempts to contact him and I would like to either resolve this issue with him, or ensure that NOBODY has to suffer with his shady dealings in the future.
If anyone knows Bryce and can chime in on this situation or perhaps provide any assistance in the matter. I'd greatly appreciate it. Thanks. If anyone has any info shoot me a pm so I can get in touch with Pat. | |

| How far off is the timing on the engine? Incorrect timing will effect compression numbers...
I dont know the guy, but hell, the engine may still be good - assuming no P2V contact and someone just mucked up the timing on it for whatever reason.
Best of luck. | |
