    Hi All,

Long time no talk, been away from performance cars for a while (just having fun with my bike last season at the track), but I'm baaaack.

This week a holdover 2012 5.0 followed me home from Bozeman. White, lightly optioned, auto for a too good price. You might notice that I've posted a few of my other toys up for sale and as they sell I'll be voiding the warranty on the 5.0.

Looking forward to having some fun with the car guys again. I'll post up some nice pics when I get the time to take them. Until then, here is a cell phone shot of it before I drove it out of the showroom.

Nice, is this your first Mustang? Seems like you've had about every other brand. Smile I Look forward to seeing it out at the track.

Well, kind of my second Mustang if you count the '03 Cobra that I had for 3 days (deal didn't go through).

Yeah, I'm not too brand loyal, if it is fun and can be made fast, I'm into it Smile.

Was at the track last weekend, bone stock down to the temporary tag netted a 13.577 @ 105.26... It won't be stock for long, just wanted to get some baseline to go off of.

Awesome and a great baseline for bone stock! What are your plans for it? Boost I would expect?

Yeah, have sitting in the garage an off-road xpipe (probably the only exhaust mod for now, I like the stealthy look and relative quiet), and have one of them new fangled warm air intakes on the way (should be here any day although I hear that it might be another couple weeks, Paxton is running behind). Tuner kit 2200sl, ID1000s, BAP, JLT inlet, OR X-Pipe, 3.47" pulley, Brisk -3 plugs, JPC tuned via SCT. Really just a pretty run of the mill setup. Something around 10.5psi, trying to make similar power as the sea level guys make on 8psi.

Still have to sort out my tires. I might just go with a wider OEM knockoff (10") with drag radials for the weekends / track. Not planning to cage it for now, so I really can't go quicker than 11.50 but I'm planning on getting some MPH out of it for certain. If I cage it, then I'll go crazy on bigs / littles and a torque converter. RPM makes a beautiful rollbar for it that would get me to 10.0, just not sure I want to do that to my new car.

Wow.. already have or ordered a supercharger? Nice! sounds like you are looking to hit low 10s already eh? Razz I'm fine with a few bolt ons on mine hehe..

Congrats on the new car. I still love mine. I went 13.1@108mph with CAI+tune only, then 12.6@112 with bolt ons in my sig... My next mod will probably be a stall converter, but I wont do that till I pay it off.

Yeah I had the Paxton in mind before even buying the car. I think I had it ordered within a week or so of buying, been waiting about 4 weeks now.

Sweet on your times / mods, I've heard that a tune really wakes up these cars (especially the auto). I thought about having JPC send me a canned tune for a stock / xpipe while I wait on the Paxton but figure I'll just wait it out now.

If I do decide to cage it, then that will come with big / littles, cage, converter, but still unsure I want to do all of that, we'll see. For the short term, it might be hard to keep under an 11.50, that might make my decision for me...
