| I am confused, are you looking for someone to help you install all those parts? Or are you looking for recommendations on what to do? Or is this a for sale thread? | |

| My advice would be not to change the looks and just do suspension and brake work. This will make any car a lot more fun to drive. And with any style look, you run the risk of not liking it years down the road. Plus its expensive for body work and no matter how careful you are the body will get beat up somehow. I went with looks a while back and was always discouraged by rock chips, scratches or just trying to keep it clean. When you do this it seems to make the car less fun to drive all around, at least it did for me. | |

| Maybe I'll just do the muffler, lights, windows tinted and type r spoiler (MUST HAVE LIKE CRACK!~) Rims, Tires also.
The suspension, brakes, calipers, springs, rotors....they must be mugen or type r or si OEM. Or the warranty on the car is void. And Si, Type R, or Mugen gets expensive.
I thought about the body kit and some of them look just ricey and gayish. The air splitters get scuffed up easily on these roads.
It'll be the cleanest looking Type R - Si hybrid....

etc...
Loaded Stock Civic.
Just don't wana make it look all RICEY.
Clean look and still original. Wana sorta copy a Mugen R and Mugen Si Styling.
Lights, Muffler, Rims, Tires, Spoiler, Tint, Inside Lighting, Cold Air Intake, Si iVtec Decals,
I found out how to do all this for $3500....I'm trying to cut cost to $1500 or less.

| Here's my take on the mods you have picked out. Just my opinion, and my style is different than everybody elses. 1. Skip all intake/exhaust/etc. engine mods on a N/A car (Naturally Aspirated) unless you can tune the ECU to actually benefit from these mods. In general, any modification to engine performance will void your warranty (at least that's how it is with Mitsubishi). And I hate to burst your bubble, but an intake and exhaust will MAYBE net 4-10 WHP combined. This is barely noticeable. 2. If your civic is not an si or Mugen R and you add just the exterior bits like wings, skirts, etc. then it is ricey. False advertising is usually frowned upon. Sure, I would LOVE to rock Evolution or Ralliart stickers, bumper and wing, but I don't because it is ricey. In fact, I'm thinking about ditching my stock spoiler for a carbon fiber lip spoiler. Rice is all about imitating something that your ride is not. Not all hondas are rice, and definitely not all ricers are hondas. 3. Modifications that will get you more performance are usually not in your face and cool to your average person. Springs/coilovers, ARBs, chassis stiffening, tires, brakes, weight reduction, tuning, brake pads, etc. will give you way more performance per dollar than any bolt-on engine mod ever could on a NA engine. 4. If you want a fast car for the track, I would not use your civic. It's a new car! Keep it as a daily driver and find an old civic to make fast as hell. Turbo it, strip it out, and surprise some peeps! 5. Keep it CLEAN! No flashing LEDs or underglow. Keep it waxed and shiny. Don't alter the taillights to altezzas or anything that sticks out like a chrome thumb. Tints are good, but make sure you have a professional do it and be prepared to pay over $250 for a good job. So my suggestions for mods when warmer weather rolls around are.... Drop in air element filter, new tires and wheels, springs (1" drop), sway bars, brakes, tints, ECU custom tune and maybe the spoiler if you have to have it. That's just my advice. Please don't hate on me if we don't share the same style lol. I do not know hardly anything about hondas, I'm a mitsu guy, but I feel that some of my experience crosses over here | |

| It's understandable. My car wasn't meant for racing...even though the 8th Gen Coupe models have better suspension and are lower than the Sedan models. I just wana make it look better but natural like it's from HONDA still...not some teenage kid's garage. Suttle things like the Type R Wing Spoiler, Tint all around, Muffler, Decals, Emblems......OK IT'S RICEY.....it has a warranty and I will have paid $30K when I'm finished on the Lien. So I can't really mess with anything but cosmetics that are removable...or the warranty is void.
I can add on OEM, HFP, Si, Type R, Mugen and that's about it.
Anything else outside that...that changes the performance of the car to tip off sensors....nope.
I'd like to eventually someday....swap a 2.2L S2000 or an EVO or STI inside it....
I have a wife and baby on the way so I have limited funds.....cosmetics for now...

| if u ever swap it forget the sti, evo, and s2k motor k24 bottom end out of either an accord, tsx, crv, ect. and a head off of a rsx type s or civic si that will be enough to make ur passengers hold on the "oh shit handles" as far as looks go on those civics avoid painting the wheels (looks cheap) there is a goldish colored one with black wheels i see at kmart all the time and it just looks tacky imo if it were my car i would lower it a little slap some black 18's on her with a nice polished lip maybe a H.I.D. headlight kit, and a greddy evo2 exhaust (best sounding for honda's imo) wouldn't really touch much else maybe a front lip if they make em but they look pretty nice already want to try to stay away from the stickers and "jdm purple" lowering springs :p cheap stuff for a new car is a total fail imo... | |
