| i have an 88 civic with a boosted b18 and just recently my exhaust manifold cracked. i plan on getting a new one,i was wondering whether i should get stainless steel or cast iron? i believe the turbo is just a standard t3/t4 setup. any opinions would be greatly appreciated and if any one has a manifold they are willing to sell that would fit a b18, let me know. | |

| I can repair the one you have / build you a new one. Cast is durable but less desirable stainless is prettier but expensive! lmk what you want to do. my price is probably the most reasonable you will find anywhere. | |

| $1100 thats a steal ha ha. My full Race mani was $1500 plus then the turbo and wastegate, along with the Full Race FMIC. No wonder they are nice to me and took me and Captain on the shop tour. I actually almost bouht Geoff's S14 when I sold my car. Full race stuff is so insane, have you seen the R14? AWD RB26'd S14. You'll see it again soon now that the conversion kit is ready to be released. I wish I had an extra 20K laying around.
I'd deffinately let Eric look at your manifold, much cheaper choice. Although with the cheap mani's you better get to know Eric good cause this won't be the last time it cracks. | |

| yeah thats what I told 88civichatch, he swung by and we found six substantial cracks and decided a cast manifold would be the best choice. Good luck Brian. | |

| Cast is always nice for longevity, too bad they usually don't flow as nice. But because they are a little more restrictive they usually spool the turbo faster and help with low end torque. | |

| its on a stock ls so a cast manifold wont be the weakest link. | |

| I tuned a stock ls and with 7 psi made 190whp with a really ghetto setup. For a budget the LS is a good engine to turbocharge. Built right I think its one of the best honda engines for FI. | |

| Not a expert here but unless i was trying to shed as much weight as possible and money didn't matter i would stick with the cast and just port match and clean up a little. | |

| The cast one can only go so far though. Since its a mild setup the cast is perfect and will last forever. But when your trying to make more power an equal length or even better twin scroll manifold is the only way to go. Plus a nice TIG welded manifold looks so nice. I almost hated to have to put it on. | |

| hey guys just got my tax refund! i was wondering if cast is still the right way to go or if there is a better manifold for around $250? the cast one i'm looking at is a hks knock-off and i can get it for $100 | |

| For that price cast is the only way to go. Anything Stainless that will last is going to be at least $800+. Cast will work great for under 300Hp and will last forever. | |

| not to mention, cast can be ported a little and when you upgrade down the road, you can sell itto someone just getting started. good karma yo | |
