| Anyone else out there frustrated because the high winds won't let them go out and run tuning logs? I took the day off so I could tune the car, and so far all I've done is visit forums on the web, drink coffee, and eat cookies. Supposed to be just as windy tomorrow. | |

| I couldn't resist and went for a drive last night. Managed to get myself a careless driving ticket.
$110 he got me 67 in a 35. There was noone around and it was on sixth ave.
I knew better. They like to snag speeders over there but did it anyway. Not my brightest moment.

| Man the tickets here are cheap as hell. $110 I would have killed for a $110 speeding ticket in Oklahoma. | |

| The area I got nailed is right near the steel yards. There wasn't a house or anything residential nearby. Worst case scenario if I lost control I'd fly off the road and land the car in the scrapyard. I call that early retirement. It was also a fairly straight stretch and I stepped on it in 2nd gear from a roll. Doesn't take long to get through 2nd and 3rd there from a roll even with my relatively slow car. As far as why the fine was different? The laws don't always make sense but my guess is that speeding and careless driving are two different offenses. I agree it wouldn't make much sense that careless would be less than or equal to a +10mph over speeding ticket. Hard to say what happened. I didn't argue with the cop and was very much polite. What would be the point? He got me fair and square and what I did was FOOLISH. I have a feeling if I had argued about it things may have been worse for me. BTW careless driving citations don't show up on your driving record - the state doesn't report it to the DMV as long as you just pay your fine and don't contest it. That's exactly what I did. Checks in the mail. | |

if $110 is alot to you, you might want to rethink a turbo project.
