| Anyone happen to know where I could get my hands on a smoke machine for chasing down an intake manifold leak? If you know of a shop who has one, any idea on rates they charge.... these leaks are driving me crazy!
I see there are some homemade ideas online but I am not sure I am ready to start messing with whats involved in building one.

| awesome thanks. I still have some testing to do hear that I can handle to see if I can fish out the problem. But I am glad to see I have options.
So far the best tool I have found is using "white smoke" I tyically use it for archery hunting to detect wind patterns.... but it works good for vacuum leaks as well.

| have you tryed intake cleaner to isolate the problem? the leak will suck in the cleaner and cause a bog or a stumble, then you can further diag the problem area. i have a can that i would give you, if you need. | |

| Yep he's tried that with no luck, then we pressure tested it and found a few leaks around the injectors and also a leaky o-ring on the injector. I replaced those for him. We are going to pressure test it again if the weather gets nice ever. Just seems like its running like it has a vacuum leak still after fixing those other leaks. | |
