Damn never in my life would a tornado hit the heights. At least it wasn't a Monday.

Dude it might as well have been Monday the way this all went down. That and Sundays in MT aren't all that great either...

There are some roads not blocked off. I drove around Lincoln and around the Target Parking Lot. There is debris everywhere. Pieces of the metra roof i suppose. Alot of trees down and flooding in the heights. Powergrid is shutdown on main and some residential parts of the heights. MHP crusing around. A few Army National Guard doing road block duties.
It's pretty bad. I heard the sirens go off. I was in my apartment downtown the whole time and didn't bother. Was trying to sleep and rest up from yesterday. I didn't set foot outside till around 10pm.
Glad it didn't rip threw Lincoln Lane or I wouldn't have a job to go to anymore lol. Some of the other buildings and houses there weren't so fortunate.

Yeah but it would be pretty busy traffic and probably people getting hurt/killed from debris.
I thought it was kinda funny how everyone drives in the direction of the tornado and slows down to watch it. Like it's part of a daily occurence in the city.
I bet there will be better videos of the destruction on youtube later.
We're supposedly gonna have more storms like this through the week.
possibly not the last.

Yeah Andy and I drove through the traffic along the Metra to get a few shots of the damage and later on after nightfall we walked along the bike trail to see if we could get any closer shots but the police weren't letting anybody too close. The storm tossed debris pretty far, you'd be amazed to see some of the stuff we saw like a newspaper dispenser bottom.... no top... stuck in the grass by City Brew. Crazy stuff but I hope we don't get another tornado this week or hail for that matter.
