It's "auto" related so it counts lol. Looks like a pretty cool event!

this is something in this forum that everyone can agree on it doesn't matter if it's a car truck or bike if it runs on fuel with pistons and valves and makes you go Vroom then it's welcome

If you get a good ported and set-up Banshee....they are very hard to beat. But it does take a little cash to get there. I love the 2-stroke power band, especially on methanol.

yeah i have been looking at a few quads. it seem like a lightly worked over banshee sells for a pretty fair price. its something i might talk over with the wife. i might save my coins over this winter and get a shee next year. just something to play around with until i can get a motor built. im not even for sure what a built motor would cost but ive seen some 421s for around 2800? like i said i haven't ever done anything with a 2 stroke. i was even reading about some 3 cylinders those are pretty crazy.

Brett's is a 421 Cheetah Cub 4 mill crankshaft. It runs pretty darn good and he doesn't have a ton a money in it either. He could tell ya what he has invested in it.

You will probably spend 4k buy the time you get everything including the supporting mods! But you don't have to do all at the same time. You can just do the motor stuff then get pipes and carbs anf clutch stuff later. Mine was cheaper cause I already bought mine with a 4mil crank and an override. I wouldn't have anyone else build it but HeavyMod. He knows whats he is doing! It seems everyone is very impressed with how good my bike runs. We even have people at the dunes not believe that it's just a 4mil cub!

. Yeah. Its not something id be doing right away. I just want to get back on a quad. I'm going to look around this winter for a clean banshee. Then after getting it I will slowly upgrade it until I can have a motor built of some sort. I'm not looking for a drag quad just something that has good power that I can still enjoy riding in the hill with. I'm sure I will be talking heavymod when I'm ready for a built motor.

All I know as of now is that he is in ICU. I left my number for a family member to call me with his condition of injury.

Glad you guys had fun. Too bad to hear about Tom flipping. Shawn told me last night at Cold Stone and not even knowing him I felt really bad. It is too bad when you get severely injured doing what you love.

I went to visit with Tom at the ICU this morning. He has a crushed C12 and the doctor said not many people walk away from an injury like this. The bone fragments went outward instead of into the spinal cord. He was waiting to have an MRI done to go into surgery for repair on his C12. Tom said it is an 9 hour surgery for a back injury of this sort. The doctor said he won't be able to work for a year, but will be able to walk after the surgery and probably be in a wheelchair for quite awhile. He will be in the hospital for 8 days after the surgery.

Man that sucks. I have a horrible back and was a candidate for surgery 4 years ago, but declined it. I hear bad stories about back surgery, they are kind of a 50/50 shot regardless of what the doctors tell you. I just live with the fact that my back goes out every month or so.
