| Riptide and I are gonna hit up the dragstrip shortly. It's too nice to pass up this opportunity to finally get some runs in. So we will be out there. | |

| Wait a second, If I go today do I have to do that stupid bracket bullshit? I just want a time slip or two and don't give a shit about if I'm running my "correct" time or whatnot. I hated runnin brackets cause w/ my slow car I only get like 2 runs in for my $25! | |

| I don't think you'll have to worry about it. There probably isn't enough people to really do anything. I'm sure you'll still be able to test and tune. | |

| lol nice avatar haproot
I finally got my chance today and although I think the track conditions are making it worse I definitely have a problem with wheel hop. I launched the car on the street when I got home and it still did it. Not as bad but there is definitely a problem. So I guess sometime next week I'm going to be tearing into the rear suspension to see if I have a trashed bushing or some other problem going on. It's an intermittent type of thing and I'm getting pretty tired of it.

Congrats to Luke with his 13.6! Thank you! I was happy to get down into the 13s. I did a quick DA calculation for you. 13.687 @ 101.247 MPH is your corrected time. I was rather impressed with your times.

| I saw Binsy while we were working on Shawns box. Hung out and talked for a bit and I was happy to hear he broke 13s. I was also happy to hear Luke did a 13.6. That is pretty good as I am guessing he was Granny shifting! | |

| I tried once again to make it out there but no mater what i do I can't get my PS belt to stop squeeling and I doubt they would have let me run with it squeeling like a cricket w/ a microphone all the way down the track!! I'm going to take it to Jim & Traceys probably tomorrow and have them take a look at it. I just need to ge that fixed and maybe my front wheels balanced and I'll be set. | |

| Seemed ok to me and some of the higher horsepower guys. From what one guy was sayin he thought the right lane was horrible and the left was better. He lost a whole second in the right which is the lane i was using. A friend of mine ended up leaving because his car was exhibiting some bad wheel hop. He suspects there might be something wrong with his suspension.
It was better, but maybe not as good as it could be.

| Hmmm....I was using the right lane too....
To tell you the truth I thought I was spinning out through the first 40-60'. My dad said it didn't seem like it but it sure felt like it. I know when I walked on the lefthand side it was REALLY sticky. I didn't get a chance to walk on the left.

| With AWD you will really not see a whole lot of loss at the track. Even last year when they made the street cars line up out of the ruts I had plenty of get up and go, plus I had no tires! AWD ROCKS! | |

| AWD is definitely nice in situations like this. IMO the track just isn't the same as last year. My car has always had wheel hop issues but good Christ it was terrible out there. On the street I still have the problem but it's noowhere near as bad. If I'd had slicks or drag radials I'm pretty sure it wouldn't have been an issue. But with street tires on that track my car was worthless. It spun hard in 2nd gear FFS! On the street it wouldn't do that. | |
