Burger King in Laurel....Out of Beef?!?!

Ok, so a guy I work with took off at noon for lunch. It usually only takes about 20 minutes to get to Laurel and back for food, but today it took him like 30. I made a comment about how it took long enough, and he said that wasn't even the half of it. He goes on to tell me that when he went through the drive-through ar Burger King, the guy said they couldn't make any Whopper, Whopper, JR's, etc. So he orders a #5. Then the guy comes back and goes we don't have that either. We are totally our of Beef. WTF!!!! Burger Kind out of Beef at noon on Monday? That's like KFC being out of Chicken. I thought it was pretty funny. I bet someone gets fired over this deal.

Nah, no one is going to get fired. Someone probably just effed up the order. I'm sure a stern talking to will take place, but I mean, c'mon, it IS laurel.....

What DOES blow my mind though, is that they are too retarded to just go buy some from one of the other BKs. we only have like, a million in town. Whenever we ran out of something when I worked at the Bell we would just go get some from another store and then "owe" them that amount when we got it back in.

I mean, it's like. How many people are you going to turn away throughout the day because you have no beef, as opposed to taking 40 minutes to drive somewhere, get more, and have it going in about another 15 minutes. Hmm....1 hour of lost sales or a full day (maybe more)....

I just think it's absolutely retarded that they actually ran out of BEEF. I mean who is the dumbass that forgot to tell someone they were getting low?

Yeah at the Bell we would know in advance before we actually ran out and run to another store like Montoya said. I really doubt anyone will get fire though. I have forgotten to order certain items before on accident. What you dont realize is that there is 100s of things you have to browse through when doing an order and missing something that is important happens.

I guess I try to compare it to all the parts we stock here at work and you just don't forget something important like that. I can see something small being overlooked, but Beef, Really? I mean the place is called BURGER King for f's sakes. LOL. Today it was Chicken King I guess...
