Kudos to the site, I never imagined such a close group of guys could rally towards a MT centered forum. Though being a bit of a Billings majority, I'm over in hippy-ville Missoula. . . I have a hand full of friends in Billings and recognize my names, including meeting and knowing Josh Whitcomb for a few years (RIP). Knowing another local of 'Team Sprock', subbie kids of plenty, and many 'stang guys state wide. I am glad member fiveohhhstang referred/ invited me over from SVTP and will enjoy my stay Wink

I love the old style Lightnings. There is one that rolls around Billing and I drool every time.

Welcome and very nice truck.

Yeah, now that you bring it up, around last septmeber/ Fast Trip/ 8:00pm ish/ and Pat had recently just coiled the EJ20-rs. ? .

I actually bought my truck from a friend in Billings. A buddy of mine, Josh, has a super clean white Gen-1 Lightning in Billings.

Your truck is clean!! I've seen a couple of red ones running around Great Falls but they didn't look like they were kept up as well as yours. Very Happy

Michael, Ford produced Lightnings from '93-'95 (first gen) with a 5.8L Windsor motor and then '99-'04 which were 5.4L factory supercharged.

Edit: dang it, ya beat me to it!

Agreed, quick cars are fun yet taking names in a truck makes my day.
I'm working out a new setup and hoping to get things dialed, sometime. I'm on the fence about a few things yet am saving for a couple addition changes on the horizon.
2010 has been rough for me though I'm thankful for a great job and my health.

New Setup consists of:
Factory shortblock/ Ported GT40 Intake/ Custom Comp XFI Blower grind/ Edelbrock Vic Jr heads (2.05/1.60- 210 runner 60cc chamber)/ Harland Sharp 1.6 RR's/ Vortech V-1 T-trim/ 4" inlet/ Mondo bypass/ Mac 1.75" Long tubes/ 'healthy' exhaust/ triple pump fuel system/ 42 # injectors- rails-reg/ PS92 coil- Hi-6 box/ Mark VIII e-fan/ A-c Delete/ Innovate LM1/ Tweecer tuned via me Wink . . .

Yeah I like the intake too but I don't know if it'll keep it's stay much past this year. Base tuning is ~10 psi, finalized tuning should be near 1.0 BAR. No dyno for me, just open road and the wideband Wink

Yeah, its probably not big enough for a blown 351 combo? What do you plan to go with when you dump it? I might be interested in yours when you do!

All boost, I have an intercooler and have contemplated chemical cooling also yet need to finish the base tuning before another variable comes into the equation. Meth will enrichen ~.5afr so fuel has to be trimmed. Another 2-4* can be added on pump which is very impressive IMO. What scares me is if the pump were to ever not activate or tank goes dry these EEC IV ecm's can't differenciate IAT from ECT and won't add fuel = boom. No real fail safe. I'm starting all boost and will decide if I wanna go IC or not.
