- Those devices work ok, I have seen them used before and made 5-10psi on the line. The best way is really to use an EMS though so you can retard the timing to make as much boost as you want. A lot of 240 guys launch at 20-30psi on their drag cars, when Mazworx ran a 7.8 they launch at 42psi on a 4294R. That's some crazy stuff. Just a word to the wise for anyone who ever uses a device like the one you posted, make sure they are ignition cuts and not fuel cuts. A lot of the older styles used fuel cuts and the engine gets hot real quick, by retarding the ignition which is the preferred way you send some unburnt fuel into the exhaust but doing so helps spool the turbo and will not cause harm like a fuel cut will.
Brett you looks like fun, as you said more seat time and those ET's will drop quickly. After only 3 runs I think you did pretty good for some shake down passes to get to know the new power. I hope our track opens again so I can come watch you run. N2MB cuts out the ignition, it works really well! I just need to get on the 2 step sooner to build more boost. Jason, I did have a lot of fun even though my ET's were sad. Plus I didn't break anything, so it was great

| I'm very interested in one of these mainly for the power shift/flat foot function it has. The 2 step not so important for me yet because of being on street tires. Glad you like it though Brett. I'm probably gonna pick one up sometime next year for sure. I've heard the install is easy and because it's cutting ignition it's a pretty safe device. | |

I like having a manual. More fun to drive than a boring automatic. I know they win races but they're no fun.

The N2MB seems like the one to get. I'm going to install it. Just for the launch and no lift shifting are reason enough for me, the fact that it builds boost is a bonus. It also sounds cool when you get into it during launch. I could have some fun w that!

| From what I've been reading you have to be careful how long you stay in the 2 step or you can end up with some pretty loud backfires. Flames out the exhaust. That good stuff. lol | |
