| so im planning on supercharging my motor BUT i would like to put some nitrous on top of that. so i know with a forced induction build you want to have low compression and nitrous for wat i hear 10.5 to 1 is good for that. so my question is if i biuld my motor 8 to 1 will the supercharger bring the compression up to a good comp for nitrous | |

| I would say it can be done but it all depends the shot of nitrous. I do know the higher the shot the higher compression you should have so there is less of a chance of detenation. Tuning is going to be the big factor in your setup. Timing, fuel trim, boost, and being prepared to correct for knock advance if there is detenation. | |

DONT DO IT . ur tune has to be perfect to run dual power adders , i really recommend u stay away from nos ifu r supercharging , especially considering ur budget , one lil thin goes wrong, timing a lil to high , not enough fuel , boom , say goodbye dont do it matt u will regrett it , stick with ur supercharger, ull be fine,

| I agree with you Sam. there is a ton of things that can go wrong. also it would really depend on how much N02/boost you were looking to run. Are you looking to build a full out drag car or something you can take to the track and still drive home? | |

| I guess I would wonder what the goal of the nitrous is? If you were trying to spin up a big turbo, a small hit could be a great thing. With a supercharged application, less so.
Are we talking a roots style blower or centrifugal? Roots style really wouldn't make sense to me since you have all the torque in your setup available at your foot since it comes on so early. Cent, maybe I could see a little hit to help off the line but I don't think it is necessary at all.
Give us some more of what your thought process is on the nitrous.

| its gonna be a traditional top mount supercharger....the reason i was thinking of doing it was for after 1/8 mile to catch up on the back end....cause as u all know the wagon is a heavy bitch....and i plan on putting 10 to 12 psi | |

| How big of a wing are you gonna put on it? And any neon or extra power adder stickers? Just do one or the other. Too much shit makes it that much easier to fuck something up | |

| Only way you would really need N02 would be for a turbo app. I've seen a few superchaged apps have it but they were some all out drag trucks going for the fastest trucks title. | |

its actually just oppsite brandon. U usualy have high compression to make more power than run no2 ontop of that. With lower compression u can run more timming and a bigger shot and still be safe. Its a fine line. Lots of compression. Less timming or lower compression. More timming. For your big roots I wouldn't spray it. I am about 100% positive for a while your going to have more power thanu know what to deal with.
