How To Clean Up Break Dust Empty
PostSubject: How To Clean Up Break Dust   How To Clean Up Break Dust Icon_minitimeJuly 26th 2011, 1:27 pm

Well I actually got to use my brakes a lot in Lewistown for once and now my newly painted front wheels are COATED in brake dust. What is the best way to remove this without doing too much damaged to my rattle can (I can always repaint I guess but would like to not have to if possible). Our detailer at the shop mentioned using "Aluminum Cleaner" but I want to hear what others have used to clean up. Thanks in advance guys!!

Keep wheel specific wax on them, and the stuff will blow right off!

Wax them, or get wheel cleaner specific for painted wheels. I can't remember the stuff I used on my X's when they were painted, but it worked miracles (and got the axle grease from the sweeet single slammer axle boot I had that had been torn FOREVER.

Next time I see the brand of it I'll post it. It comes in a white spray bottle. Each bottle is enough to do a set of wheels thoroughly about twice.

My solution was to buy flat black wheels for the track and never clean them.
