| My Father and I decided to get the rear drivers sail panel re-aligned on our '71 Chevelle and the Paint Doctor was the choice that we made as I have known Jerry for about 10 years. Needless to say the car was made flush on the panel, but was done incorrectly. Instead of shifting the panel upwards by removing the welds from the quarter he just built the ENTIRE sail panel up with about 3/8" of body filler. I initially was going to have them install the new trunk pan, inner wheelhouses, and rear drop offs, but decided to do it myself as it has taken them about 4 months to get this other Chevelle out the door (which is still far from being done). I am really glad that I decided to do the rest at home as I would have never come across all that body filler. Cannot believe a shop would pull something like this, especially when he is suppose to the be the best of the best working on older vehicles. I ended up having to make a new piece for the rear quarter as the whole thing was made of body filler with minimal metal. Now all I have to do is wire wheel 20lbs of filler off and get it aligned correctly. | |

| Not sure if I am going to or not. I am so mad that I may end up doing something I will regret. Sometimes it is better just to chalk things up as a loss and move on. All that matters to me right now is that I know it will be getting done right and in a timely matter. | |

| This is crazy. I remember a shop I did some work study at in high school had an old 60's Mustang come through and the flare on the rear fender had been smashed in, but the shop before them had just filled it in and left the dent. Imagine changing a tire and looking into a fender well and seeing the back side of an enormous dent! Poor guy had bought the car that way. I have seen this before, but man it almost seems like a lot of work to go through instead of just doing it right the first time. | |

| Sad thing is I am not the only one that has been screwed over by the Paint Doctor. I was actually just talking with my paint rep this morning and as soon as I told him the story he was not even the least bit surprised and a had a few stories from people that have come to him after their so called 'body work' was done. | |

| Jesus. I've heard he's a hack but damn! He should refund your money. Seems like anymore you just have to do everything yourself if you want good work. | |
