my transmission is having some problems. Its a TH350 hooked up to a 350 engine adn when i shift the car into reverse and keep my foot on the brake the car will jerk back a little bit. wasnt sure if this was normal or if i should fix something on it.

does it have a shift kit init? most turbo hydromatic gm transmissions will have an almost instant line pressure spike when engaging the revers gear, or when going from reverse to drive. as long as the trans doesnt flare or slip or become lazy when shifting, you are probably good. check your fluid often and make sure it is full and not black, stinky, or low.

ok makes sense it doesnt have a shift kit but im probably going to buy a th400 soon so id rather just save up for that and not worry about this tranny cause im only going to drive with it for another 50,000
