| Yup... not trying to nitpick.... in case that seams like what I'm doing. I'm just saying..... be nice to have more of an outline of what acceptable behavior for drivers, AND spectators that could potentially become colateral liability. I'm just saying.... I as a driver should not have to change the way I'm driving on thr track to keep from hitting someone that is taking pictures..... or am i expecting too much? | |

| I am more than willing to set the track up however you guys want it. Every time we have the event I ask the group as a whole to help set the track up and only 2 or 3 people offer to help. If you guys want a special setup come out and help it up.
I agree about the spectators and we will have to keep things in better order this time around. I will call and make sure the buses are not there as that will free up a very large area for extra parking/track.

| Doug will be there, I am almost positive, whether it is working out bugs with the car, running low on funds or even just scared to drive (Doug has had a bad streak of luck at Lewistown for those who do not know), HE WILL BE THERE! Just drive you car normal and dont rod the piss out of it and you will be driving home, thats what I do. I dont think I have ever run my car 100% at Lewistown. It really is just as much fun driving at 50%. | |

What was the average speed for u guys on last run? I'm excited for this track day =)

PS: My exhaust soon will be cat-less too. No more restrictive nastiness!

| Today was a success in the Garage again! WhoooooTTttT! Items fixed: Exhaust leak(BOOOOOOOOOSSST! YAY!) driver side blinker Sean Carney fixed my seat! No more broken seat! Thank you to the following people for the assistance today: Sean Carney JD Toddles GRIFFFFIIIN GREEEEN for hooking me up with a downpipe gasket. Dad was looking out for me this fine day. My problems for money are taken care of for a few months! I landed a few roofing jobs, a siding job, and a customer came into ace asking me to redo his deck. maybe my handyman business may evolve? I WILL be attending Lewistown, I WILL be driving my car THERE and BACK. Stuff to fix by lewistown: My front spring spins while it is in the seat for the strut. I am pretty darn confident it shouldnt do that SOO I may need some assistance with a spring compressor to fix this darn problem. Engine oil needs to be flushed, Tranny oil = A ok! Clutch and brake fluid are golden. Brakes are new. Tires are New. Exhaust is fixed. Ugh. Gauges to install, vacuum leaks to fix. Very few items left to button up. I am stoked. running out of time... cutting it close yet again! OOOOHHHHHH the suspense!!! Godnight its been nice chatting, back to getting shit done. Cheers Chaps! -Doug | |

I beg to differ! I was going to hit up the hillclimb in Polaris MT that weekend. It is tough to beat legitimate racing on public roads. However, it is $90 for only 2 runs each day, plus the added cost of getting and staying down there. Considering I can put in about 5 solid hours of track time at Lewistown AND now have some decent rubber on the S2000, the decision was easy. FYI the SCCA added a YDS event for that Sunday as well, for those of you who are still craving more after a day at Lewistown.

| And can we confirm that they will not be applying that laquer (or whatever the hell it was) to the track surface until after our event, unlike last fall? That shit is still stuck on my paint in some places! No trucks/bus in the middle of the course would be a nice bonus, too. | |

| Well I talked to Vern today and we are good to go for the 11th.
I also spoke with him at the beginning of the year and mentioned I may refinish his deck to show my gratitude for the insurance sponsorship and I was wondering if anyone would like to chip in some money/labor and help me make that happen? I have all the tools we would possibly need to get the job done and all we would really have to do is come up with about $100 for materials such as paper and stain.
I was also thinking that for anyone who helps they would have free Lewistown until the end of our sponsorship.
I really want to do something for Vern to show my/our appreciation and I think this would really do the trick.

| My headers are officially installed, and brought with them a slightly (though not entirely) unexpected guest - my CEL. Grr. I've had a vacuum leak somewhere for a while, and now that there are no pre-cats, more air is able to go through that leak and is just enough to touch off two lean codes. I'm thinking it's the intake manifold gaskets, and am going to try to get them replaced by track day. It's not the end of the world though - I'll still run a few times, depending on how she's running. So far it's only an issue at idle - she runs up just fine, and cruises well, too. It'll stay running, but the rpm will drop wayyy down and then pop back up to about 1750 and hang. Once it's warm it's not as noticeable, either.
So in any case, I'm still gonna be there, and still gonna have a blast!
Mike - When are you thinking of doing the deck refinish? I can probably help out with supplies, if not labor.

| Hey Sarah.... are you tripping the p0171/p0172 bank 1&2 lean coeds?
If you're tripping both those don't overlook a dirty MAF. I would clean it with MAF cleaner just as a precaution.
But yeah... sounds like a leaking intake manifold gasket. Or maybe Your engine just doesn't know what to do with some real exhaust...... maybe it's just got smokers cough still. lol

Or maybe Your engine just doesn't know what to do with some real exhaust...... maybe it's just got smokers cough still. lol It's p0171 and p0174, bank 1 and 2 lean, yep! I'll take the MAF off and clean when I've got everything off, because it can't hurt, but I'm 100% certain there's a vacuum leak somewhere, because I can hear it hissing, especially when the engine is cold. I've not had success yet pinpointing it with starter fluid, which is why I think it's the intake gaskets. I can spray all along the back of the UIM and it makes it idle up, but I just can't nail it down to one spot.

| It's got the stock o2 sensors threaded into the new headers and y-pipe. If the CEL is still on after I fix the vacuum leak, I'll put MIL eliminators in to fix it. | |
