on the b series motor there is a black box on the back of the block an has tube connecting to the intake manifold im not sure if u have to run this or not i dont even kno what it is or even for i i heard u can run wit out it but i want make sure if ya do or not here is a cuople pics of what im talkin about not that good of pics but thats all i have [img][/img]

it's you're crankcase ventilation.
The box is like a stock Honda oil separator. And the hose on top of the box goes to the intake through a PCV valve.

If you have it..... I would use it...... because I wish I had one.

the reason for a crankcase vent system is.... just like when you piston is compressing air between the head piston and cylender wall, it has the same reation compressing into the crank case. so many peole leave these out and wonder why they have blow by, use oil, or smoke or even loss of power. it make your engine have a easier life belive it or not. hook it up.

If you take this off you need to add a catch can/breather set up. And it is not as simple as just taking it out because there will be a almost 1.375" gapping hole in the block!! That need to be plugged.

Certain B blocks had it and others don't

If you have it ...... it is WAY easier to use it then try to get rid of it. I mean even if you were putting a catch can on the car I would still run the stock can with the aftermarket one together. As it is.... My B-series don't have one stock and I'll be putting a aftermarket catch can on it instead.

i had no idea it was useful but well thanks cause i havent messed wit it so thats why i sked an the tube that goes to the manifold its broke an same wit the pcv valve so i jus get that from a parts store? then if not matt can u come take a look at it for me if u get a chance since u live so far away hahah
