LS- series motors are great engines, built from a lot of good ideas that did not originate at General Motors!

Actually, when i bought this one, I didn't like them at all.. I bought it because I was tired of mod motors and wanted a pushrod engine again..

Now, I kinda wish I had a mod motor again!

LS engines are GREAT. Stock for stock they destroy an "old" 5.0. Every one needs to remember that Matts' 1995 5.0 isn't much different than a 1968 302.

You could take 1963 260 heads and bolt them on a 95 cobra engine. Ford did a good job with the 302/5.0 engines.

My little 347 runs strong for an N/A pump gas deal. I'm sure there are many N/A LS's that would destroy me on the track. But on the other hand I'm sure there are many boosted LS's I'd destroy. So it can go both ways. An engine is an engine either one can be a turd.

This is the worst of both worlds. I kid, I kid! I can't say I've seen that done before. I think someone has stuffed an LSX into just about everything with wheels.

Seems like a rx-7 with an ls1 swap would be a fun car to drive. Frankencar lol

How does it run compared to your old 03 Cobra Adam??

I have the chance to buy an 86 4 eye 5.0 with T-tops for $2500

I'm seriously contemplating buying it, not because I really need another project, but I LOVE the t-top foxes and they're worth a little bit of money

This is exactly what I plan on doing in the future. An FD only, though. So much fun, although I would not do a solid axle swap like most people do.

Cobra ran a best of 11.80 at 118. Very fun car.

Other than that, it's a pretty straight car, especially for the $$$

A fox is the only mustang I'd be interested in turning into strictly a drag car, so a stroked and turbo'd windsor would fit the bill just right
