| I work for a company that has the same problem. The sharpest guys in the plant are the ones out doing all the work, but the guys who control all the money and make all the decisions sit on thier thumbs in the office and wait for the clock to run down. Then when its two days to the deadline... AAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH FFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUCCCCCCCCCKKKKKKKKK!!!!!!!!!! WEGOTTAGETTHISDONENOWAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!! Its a bummer the environment had to pay the price for some lazy punk's mistake. They should have had a more frequent mx/insp schedule. Not the employees fault, its the employER all the way. | |

| I assure you it wasn't some "lazy punk's mistake" that caused this accident. The best minds in the industry are working on getting the problem solved. I can't reveal what I know about it (because of my job), but rest assured it is being taken VERY seriously and there are SEVERAL companies working to solve this problem. No oil company ever wants a catastrophe of this magnitude to happen, and they do try to prevent it. It was an unforeseen set of circumstances that caused this event, and as tragic as it is, we can only work towards solving the problem at this point.
Also, may the 11 men who lost their lives be remembered. This industry is extremely dangerous, especially for field hands and the reason we do this is to make better not only our lives, but our loved ones' also. | |

| I think BP is not sweating the oil spill as much as it COULD POSSIBLY affect gas prices. This could prove PEAK and FOSSIL OIL is a farce. Rewrite the textbooks lol. So the earth has endless amounts of oil....that'll sure weaken gas prices later...if there is not scarcity as they tell us. | |
