I've got a '74 Datsun 260z that hasn't been started in years. Was thinking of dropping in a 327 if I could find one. You guys had any experience with a Z-car SBC swap?

Mckinney Motorsports makes it pretty easy to drop a RB into those Z's you may consider that or you could always stick an LS1 in there! Just a thought
GTS was available in an R32 which came with a RB20DET and was RWD. The GTS R33 and R34 came with a RB25 and it was also RWD. The GTR is AWD and came a RB26Dett in the R32, R33 and R34
R33 - 1993 to 1998 R34 - 1998 to 2002
This is all if my memory hasn't failed me!!!

But the Skyline to have is a "Hakosuka" 1968 - 1972 2000 GT-X that is the Skyline I want!!!! 2.0 L DOHC that makes 160hp Sorry I just had to throw that out there
Yep Perm I believe your right on all that, overall the R32 GTR is the best for power to weight and handling, although I really like the look of the R33, another thing to note is that the GTR's have the larger fender flares, so you can tell if its a real GTR by looking for that. The R33 also came as GTS-25T which also is RWD with the RB25.

HA I am Stoked I just sent me ECU off to RS-Enthalpy!!! This has been a long time coming maybe now I can make a little more than 205hp Super cool guy if anyone is thinking about getting a retune on a Nissan
if I remember Jason right he will be running like 16psi on the "disco potato" and he should be around 320-330whp... don't quote me but I think that is what I heard

no more shell... it got sold awhile back. The guy on here that is putting the rb25 into a hachi like nels bought it and now I believe the plan is to put the rb25 into the 240 and find a smaller engine for the hachi. Not sure though.

^^^ sweet, so w/ the new tune how much power you think and what psi(stock red top turbo). that should get the ps13 swinging!!!
Jake is correct!!! I should be about 330 on 91 octane and 16lbs and not really sure on 100 octane and 18lbs, but it should definitely tear up some corn fields next year eh Jake?????

^^^ hey i'll be there next year for some tandem if i'm cool enough to battle w/ you men. anywho... im wondering if any of you Nissan / Infiniti / Datsun people have ever used or heard the phonebook method to pull fender seems like its worth a try
the rears are easier to see the pull lookz pretty good and smooth compared to some pulls i've seen on other fourms

I have heard of it, but I have never tried it or seen it done. I would just run Jason down and get the roller it is pretty easy to use and it does a nice job as long as you go slow.
dead thread update! supercharger is bolted on, belt is on, trans is ready... need rearend, tuning hard/software, and wiring. It might make the sept lewistown.

I am working on getting you a J30 rearend w/ axles now you just need to figure out how to bolt that beast in. I will le you know but I am going to try and pick it up when I drive through Missoula in June.
Subject: Re: Nissan / Infiniti / Datsun people!!!!!! May 14th 2011, 11:14 am
I think I will prob end up fabing some axles but it should be good as far as drive shaft length ( which is my main concern) lmk when you get close, do you need some dough?
okay I thought the trans was f$%^ed but it wasnt then I thought it was fixed but it wasnt, now im pretty sure its fixed! any recomendations on a tune ? I was thinking msd timing retard and an fmu? for budget purposes, even though I FUCKING HATE THE BUDGETS!
