| Looks like I'm picking up a used kenne bell stage 1 intercooled kit. Not sure yet when I'll be doing the install. May even wait until next spring. I'm a pretty patient guy even when I'm excited about something. The car that had this previous, also an 06, made 440rwhp on a 95 degree day with big 20" wheels on there and 3.73 gears. I've got 4.10 but lightweight 18s and a 1 pc. aluminum driveshaft. Hoping to make at least 450+. Also hoping the stock engine will stay together for a couple years until I get around to putting a built shortblock in. | |

| That would be the one. Also getting gauges from him. I'll need a few odds/ends before it's ready to install. A gauge pod, fuel line, and a few other smallish items. | |

| I agree twin screws are the best sounding blowers out there IMO
Wish I had been able to get a good timeslip for the car as it is now. I never really did get good air and a chance to test out the last group of mods I've done on it. Previous best was a 13.9@100. Since then I've done pulleys, intake runner butterfly delete plates, lightweight driveshaft, and lightweight wheels.
The stars just never aligned right out at the race track this year for me to test the car out.

| Thanks guys. I'm going to help Dave take the kit off his car over the next week or so. Should help me learn how it's put together to help take it apart. After it's off the car I'll get what I need ordered and then start thinking about doing the installation. Only a couple more months of good weather left this year so I'd need to get going on it soon if I want to be able to test it out much before bad weather hits. I'm not ruling out making a few passes over labor day weekend. The DA is gonna hafta be well under 6000' for it to be worth it to me though. It may not cool down enough out there for that - even later in the evening. Will post pics when I do the install. | |

| Thanks guys I'm going over to Dave's tonight to start helping him with the un-install on his car. Kinda hoping to have that finished up by the end of the week or at least be real close to being done by then. After that order some parts (gauge pod, fuel line, couple odds/ends) and then start thinking about doing the install.
My prediciton is mid to low 12s on drag radials and maybe a low 13 on summer tires. I think depending on how the trap shapes up it might have enough for a high 11 but I'm not sure yet. I know Brett did a low 12 on his saleen with a screwed up clutch but he's a better driver than I am lol so we'll see what happens.

| Should be ready to flash the PCM and start the car this weekend. Depending on whether I can rope haproot into coming by to learn me a thing or two on installing those gauges before then. | |

| Negative for now. Possibly down the road no pun intended. lol
I'm going to try running the Kenne Bell tune for a while which is setup for a stock exhaust and engine. A dyno tune may be in the cards but not until next summer at the earliest.. That would be the time to put headers or an offroad midpipe on there.
Honestly though if it puts out the power I expect it to (450whp SAE) I may be happy enough with that.. Pushing much further than that and you end up going through transmissions pretty quick in this car. And upgrading to a TR6060 6spd would cost a mint.

| A T56 still goes for almost 3 grand. I dunno man. I just don't know if I want to dump a bunch more into this car. Maybe when something breaks. Notice I said when not if. I will eventually track the car but not until the supercharger is paid off so it may not be next summer. I would never have taken a loan to get something like this if I hadn't got a pretty good deal on it. The risk of breaking something is high on the race track and it would really piss me off to be paying on a supercharger thats sitting on top of a blown engine. Plus I need drag radials now. lol | |

| I don't know where u buy parts from but a decant used t 56 goes for 800 to 900 dollars on lsitech all of the time. U just have to buy the ford bell housing.
I understand about the loan situation. I would have never pulled my gto apart if I knew my father inlaw was going to commit suicide. I had picked up his $1200 a month home loan and that was not figured into my budget.Just now a year later I am scraping money back together to put my car toghether again. Good thing is I only have 11 months left on my loan.

| I saw it in a magazine ad tonight. $2800. It was a newly built T56. Regardless I'm not going to replace the stock transmission until it's toast. Way to much trouble to get it out and it's not worth it to sell. Keeping the car then I take it? Good choice. | |
