| Hey guys, new to MAEC. Looking for a little help. I am in serious need of a 91 octane map for my APv2. Don't suppose there is anyone in Billings/Bozo/GF that can do a Cobb tune is there? I was told G&C may have an AWD dyno, but even if who knows if they perfom AP tunes. Closest AP ProTuner to LWT listed on the Cobb website is 655 miles away in CO. I'd appreciate any help you could offer. Thanks. | |

| Thanks guys. Kind of the response I figured. Best buddy lives in Boise and just became the general manager of an auto repair shop. He and his local friends are researching the tuners in BOI and trying to get an "in" with someone reputable. For now, looks like I will be doing an e-tune with a Cobb ProTuner. But thanks again.

| If you go to Boise check out Idaho Speed center, I think that was their name. They built and tuned some pretty crazy cars, not sure what they have been up to the last few years but I know they did good stuff a while ago. | |

| Nice mod list you've got there. As far as a tune for the AP, I don't think anyone around here can do it. Your safest bet would be to get the e-tune and then try to get on a dyno farther down the road. | |

| Looking at the list you may need to upgrade to a full stand-alone. | |

| Hey thanks guys for the replies. Just spoke with Agile Automotive in Maryland. They've been the builder for the car and we are going to try and give the e-tune a try. After that, a trip to N Colorado is in the works. The Boost Creep has a top reputation, or so I've been told, and is one of the closest Cobb ProTuners.
And thanks t about the Boise shop. Having my buddy DJ check into it next week.

| I've heard really good things about the boost creep. A kid I know in Bozeman has a 750hp sti that was tuned by the boost creep. | |

| Does Cobb not still have a location in SLC? I know that's where the plates on the semi Hauling the GTR and STI were from I saw last week. | |

| I would have to assume that would be to the flywheel and not the ground. If it were to the wheels I am pretty sure that would be the fastest subaru in the world. | |

| I just texted him and ask what he's putting to the wheels and he said 760. There isn't a part of the engine that isn't built on it. With the twinscroll GT42r i bet it's very possible | |

Well, tell your friend in bozeman to come down to Billings for some lunch and we can line them up! I would love race! I would probably loose with him making that kinda power, but it would be fun!

| Theboostcreep ltd is where i went for my stage 2 protune and tune after i strapped the gt35r on. Harvey is a really nice guy to work with. Unfortunetly i will be searching for a different tuner after my pistons exploded and ruined my entire longblock. I hate to put the blame on Harvey but cant help but feel that this catastrophic failure could have been avoided.
I'll be in the same boat after i piece everything back together. Probably gonna save the bills for a hydra or aem ems.

| I'll be going with maxwell power services when I decide to stop screwin around and get a professional tune. I have played with one car tuned by the boost creep, and the fuel map was insanely aggressive. It was so far on the edge that I was suprised the engine was still alive. 12.5 afr @ 20psi. It pulled like a monster when it was running right, but it had other issues too. And they left other tunes on the AP v1 they tuned with and each and every one had different injector latencies and scaler. Sloppy work IMO.

| Working with Hill from Agile for the moment on an e-tune. Should have the time and money over the winter to trailer the car to CO or OR for a better tune. We'll see. Hill said he will be in Bozo sometime this winter, so maybe some road testing will square the tune away. For now I feel like just flying to Billings and loading a few cans full of 93 into the plane each time I want to drive the car and call it good. | |
