| That is an odd looking EVO.
You could try out the snorkel in Roundup.

| Matt - California greetings? Give it a shot, let me know how that works out for you.
fastback - that's why I got it... even though there are a few things that are pretty strange and or beat up on it, the SAS, FJ60 axles with disc conv, ARB lockers f and r, and wheel and tire combo made the price worth it. Someone spent some money on this... I'm just going to have to spend alot more to make it work how I want it too.
Randy - That's not a snorkel, it's a laser. It's set to "stun" right now, but with more clever comments like yours, it's going to "kill".
Off to the junk yard today in a 3.slow powered, 4.56 geared dog! It should only take me a few hours to get out to A1.

| Do they make a supercharger for the 3VZ-FE? I'd be afraid to do anything to it as they have nasty headgasket issues as it is. | |

| I'm kind of digging the 3vz for now... the motors had a bit of a "freshen-up" so I'll probably just keep the 3.slow.
Plans right now include 5.29's to make up for the 35's, I'll piece together a grey interior instead of the brown, and try to get everything working the way it should. Although there is some money in this thing, it has some issues that are making it run like a dog. After that's done, I'd like to go explore with Lerm on "Tippy Toyota Tuesdays".

| Ah nice. A well-running 3vz-fe is a lot of fun, and personally I love the sound... when you remove the muffler. What's this Tippy Toyota Tuesdays? | |

I meant supercharge the 5VZ-FE. But really a 22-RE would be easier and ironically...... you could get better performance out of it over the 3VZ-FE. lol But I agree... if it's a freash engine then run it..... it should at least last 30k before it blows another head gasket. lol But maybe I'm biased cause I used to hate working on those freaking 3VZ-FE engines when I was at Toyota..... I can't remember how many of those head gasket recalls I did.... but I made money on them. the 5VZ-FE was way better. Nels.... I still have a bunch of valve adj shims for the 3VZ-FE if you need any any time. Let me know.

| Gotcha. Yeah, if you're gonna do major engine work, might as well swap in the 5vz-fe and a trd supercharger.
I've always loved the 22-re though. Hey Matt, have you heard much about turboing them?

I've always loved the 22-re though. Hey Matt, have you heard much about turboing them? Only experience I have with them being turbocharged is when they are the 22-RTE.... and that's a factory turbo 2.4L 4 cyl. I've worked on a few of those... but not many. They're kinda hard to find.

| I'm working on delaying the HG problem... but if it goes, I'll be at your door Matt!
SC'ed 5vz was fun... but I was constantly worried about running lean. I don't need that much power... I'll just gear it down and make myself think I've got power. Hell, that Dennis caracter is doing pretty crazy things with a stock samurai motor!
