Driving from New York to LA in 31 hours

This might be old news for some, but he's an article on Alex Roy, the gentleman who holds the record for driving from Manhattan to the Santa Monica Pier in 31 hours, 4 minutes.

i'm not impressed. on august 8th 2008 i left billings at 11pm for Des moines iowa for my sisters wedding. It is exactly 1000 (to the tenth) miles from her drive way to mine. i got to des moines at 9:45 am (8:45 our time) on the 9th. I stopped for a 45 min nap in murdo south Dakota. i went the 55mph in all of the construction areas and there was 149.6 miles of it, and my car was never shut off. all that i had was a cobra radar dectector and a bottle of mt dew. i stopped 4 times for gas and potty breaks each were about 10mins. I did all of this in my completely stock 2004 gto.

When some one can grow the balls and do a trek from coast to coast by them selves. and not speed through construction area's i will be impressed.
