| Well it is official, I have ordered my new injectors and they will be here next week. Very excited about this for 2 reasons. First reason is I am running 90% duty on the injectors I have right now, which is one of the main reasons I have not turned up the boost yet. The second is I am lucky enough that someone sent off one of these injectors to Autronic to get the driver made, so I am not going to be using a universal driver for these injectors, it is made SPECIFICALLY for these. I am guessing the car is going to run amazing. The injectors are 1000cc Injector Dynamics. Even at 10v and 45psi they run 1000cc! That is pretty amazing. Now when I am boosting and HOPEFULLY hitting 25psi they will be running 1300cc! Pretty sure these are going to be the injectors my car has been waiting for. 11s HERE I COME!!

| I became impatient and called them again. I guess the WRX version does not have the adapters. They are machined smaller for a reason. Looks like I am going to need some adapters from the company. Hopefully this will be resolved more sooner than later. It is my own fault for ordering these. Should have been more specific as my setup is customl, not factory. | |

| Looks like I need to send the injectors back to T1 and get a different set. The ones I have are actually custom fit for the WRX, which means they are very short compared to my current ones. The guys are really great and I am not getting charged for anything. Hope to have these next week. | |

| Injectors are at the PO BOX right now, just have to pick them up. Going to eat a little grub and swing over there. I am really fortunate that my install is going to be about a 1/8th of what it would be on a normal WRX. I would not expect the installation to take any longer than 30 minutes.
I will also take some pictures of the new ones. TTYL.

| Thanks Shawn. I actually ended up hitting 14psi after I left You and Kurtis this afternoon. I had to retard my timing about 3 degrees in my boost sites, but it seems like it is pulling pretty hard. Hopefully have her tuned in a few weeks as I am much too busy with the Home Improvement Show this week. | |

| I'm new, so I'm curious: what kind of engine in what kind of car are you running? I don't recognize the original injectors as being either WRX or STi. The blues are easily bumped to 810, and the pinks are easily bumped to 1000-plus. What kind of intake manifold and fuel rails are you running? Why do I think your car has serious hair on it? | |

As far as the injectors go, they are a non-modded style and depending on how many PSI I will be running, the injectors should push close to 1300cc. I had a set of modded pinks and there is no way they would push anywhere near 1000. I almost had those things maxed out when I had my VF22 running 15psi. Pretty sure the blues and pinks push almost the identical, right around 800 after the cap is removed. They are the same injector with slightly larger holes on the pinks. The main problem with modding an injector is you are not going to have consistent fuel delivery or a good spray pattern on all cylinders, it is better just to spend the money and get some that you know are going to work.

| Right now I am running a 45psi @ idle, which means I have 1035cc capabilities at that particular fuel pressure. Now I am planning on running 30psi of boost which would be a total of 75psi, making the injector a 1305. The SARD FPR raises the pressure 1:1, 1lb of boost = 1 additional lb of fuel pressure.
Hope that makes sense. | |

| Makes sense. Thanks. Are you running a stock EJ25 crank? How about headstuds? What do you mean by "custom heads?"
That's so much boost for that engine that I can't wrap my mind around it in terms of trying to do a decent tune. I don't know what "Autronic" is. I assume it's your engine management. What are you using for a transmission? FYI: some guy in Tacoma had a Knight automatic for sale a month or so ago. It was in good condition; he wanted to put in a 5spd. Pretty hard to beat a Knight at the dragstrip. I think he wanted about $4k (it was over 12K new).
You are right and you are wrong about the blues and the pinks. I'm looking for the flow test results for my blues, but can't find it. Three of mine were a very close match, but the fourth was too far out. So the place that modified them swapped it for one that was close to the other three. If done correctly, the blues and the pinks are as good or better than most aftermarket injectors. I had a set of PE, but returned them almost immediately. I've seen cars being tuned on a Mustang Dyno that were putting out in excess of 600 whp, running moded pinks. One was a hybrid, but the others began life as STi engines. The meanest one, though, was an EJ20 that had been bored to 2.3, with a full stroker kit (crank included). They were tuning it at over 8000 rpm. Pretty sure it had a dog box.

| Found the stats for my blues:
cc/min @ 43.5 psi was: 824/828/832/826
Pulsed flow (cc) @ 2500 rpm was: 100.5/101/101.5/101
Static flow: 412/414/416/413
Resistance: 12.5/12.6/12.5/12.5
Injector variance: 1%
o-rings, filters, grommets, seals were new at the time of the test.

| Running a stock crank, ARP headstuds, and the heads are 1 of a kind. I have about 10,000 wrapped up in those bad boys. There is nothing I could do to them to make any more HP. | |

| Tuning should not be too much of a problem. The Autronic is the sweetest EMS I have ever seen and it is fully capable to tune beyond what I want out of it. I actually tuned to 15psi from scratch in about 30 min, which includes all load sites from 0-200 (200 is 15psi). If I had access to a dyno my life would be alot easier as road tuning is very difficult once I get past 15psi.
Hopefully I will be able to up the boost at Lewistown.
