Thanks for the offer, I got a lead on some 14 inch steel wheels. I would love to run the 235/60/15 mickey thompsons but I think it would look a little rediculous with 13's in the back on the street.

| The HF CRX is coming along alright. I put in Integra torsion bars, front sway bar, and rear springs with 2 coils cut off. I also polyeurethaned everything and boxed the panhard bar. It already has a set of Suspension Techniques sway bars and a set of cheapy KYB struts/shocks. I ran Yokohama A032 215/50/R13s last time and it was a little tail happy, but did pretty good. It took 4th which isn't too bad for as underpowered as it is. I am going to try my set of Hoosier slicks this next time to try to move up the ladder a little. I am rebuilding a SI engine to give it some more ponies for next year.

GL Thats perfectly fine, Hondata is a good program and they use good hardware. As far as what you know about it being free, you obviously dont know what you are talking about so let me explain this to you; either your friends are using the free version of crome, or they are illegally distributing the professional version. That is all well and good if you are an asshole but try to imagine what it would feel like if your car got stolen and someone was selling your parts off for cheap, that is what your friends are doing. Don't try to mock me on the internet, grow up. No need to come off so harsh, first he was trying to be helpful not bragging, second whether he knows what software is free doesn't mean anything, I have no idea which Honda stuff is free but I could tune his car if I chose to, just because many people don't know everything about every type of car does not mean they are not intelligent. I don't see anywhere in his post where he was mocking you. I personally think if you plan to tune peoples cars you should list your credentials, its easy to know software on one type of car, tuning a variety of cars is very much different. I am not saying you don't know your stuff, just that from what we know of you we don't know your name or what cars you have tuned so its hard for anyone to know if you or someone else should be tuning there car. There are a few local people that I would recommend tuning other's hondas and you may be one of them and I just don't know your new screen name, but don't be mad at someone who was simply trying to help. I agree no one on here should be illegally distributing the pro version as that would not be honest, but if the poster was unaware that the pro version is not free that doesn't hurt the fact he was trying to help. As I said I also know nothing about which software is free or available for honda's nor do I plan on learning but that would not keep me from tuning it if someone I knew needed it done. And I don't think that makes me any less capable to tune it.

You make no sense for many reasons... (from what i understand) First off, Avigs just made a comment about the distribution of such software and the morality of it. You then followed with a mocking statement. chill man! Second, you post here dissing maecforum while making a generalization that everyone on here in very unexperienced and uneducated when it comes to cars and tuning. Not cool. Also, there is as many pros on the forums and in shops as there is guys sweating it out on the floor of their garage. Just because someone owns or works for a shop doesn't mean they know everything. Forth, from the sounds of it neither of you guys really know each other or history of work (projects). I however have not seen one intelligent post by you nor a reference that gives you the right to glorify yourself as the king of hondas... or maybe i missed it?

| And this is exactly why I sold my two civics. Ok...well maybe a few other reasons too. But..... It's seams to me that In "Honda world" there are an exceptionally high rate of know it all's that know nothing.... OR it's the my penis is bigger then yours syndrome. I mean really? Who cares about anything that anyone on here has done or can do? I sure don't. What matters to me is right now and where you're going. I'm a Master ASE certified mechanic too.... so what? who cares? Big yay! I can take apart and put stock cars back together..... But isn't this club about modifying cars? Who in Montana really modifies cars "professionally" in a performance seance in the state of Montana? Oh... there are a few folks that maybe can try to say they can. But I know of them and have seen a lot of their work and even THOSE people make me raise my eyebrow. I tend to worry about the person that has to stand up and convince people about how much they know..... because that usually means they're just full of it. If you really know what you know.... People will just know or find out eventually.
So now my roll as a Moderator on this forum.... I wish to see no more Penis measuring contests on this thread. Please put your ego's back in the box and duct tape them up because they are no longer needed..... or better put... they WILL NOT be tolerated. Clear?

| Hey, just saw this, I wasn't trying to get anyone bent out of shape. I am not trying to play a penis game here, I was merely defending myself, I suppose I felt sore from the tone of his origional response. I was trying to stick up for a business that is hurting from people stealing software and distributing it. I also know that many people running around throwing tunes on cars for free are discrediting the industry and blowing up cars. I felt mocked, maybe I was wrong. I don't say I'm a proffesional because I read alot on the internet and know my stuff. I say I am a proffesional because I am. I am a full time certified mechanic and have been more or less for eight years. I also have my own supplemental shop. I tune for money and I charge because I am worth it. That isn't a slam at anyone out here. I have alot of respect for the tuners in the area that I have met for the most part. I dont own a dyno, sorry. If someone wants to loan me the money for one by all means. If you want a dyno tune, we can rent some time from a shop in the area. I wasnt trying to talk shit. I'm from Boston where I started tuning with TurboEdit and Uberdata haha. Moved away from that quickly. I had quite a run with street tunes on RSX's with greddy kits and Kpro. Alot of Crome Pro, AEM and I even screwed around with megasquirt. I am looking into ECTUNE right now and hondata's S300, somehow my only experience with Hondata is with KPro. I even used a wideband to tune a rising rate fuel pressure regualtor on a Miata. He was running 90+ Psi at his 10 lbs. of boost if I remember correctly. Against my suggestion of course. I dont have the most experience in the world but I am a proffesional. I am on this forum to attract business and to make friends. I would love to have a cold one and talk about tuning. Course, you have a Type R, so you are buying | |

| for all you honda nuts, I spotted a beautiful white s2000 for sale today in Billings. It was parked over by my work (right by the ups distribution center). White exterior with red and black interior. If I hadn't just bought my g35 I would have stopped. Looked super clean. Someone buy it so atleast you can have a low power low torque rwd car!! (Just couldn't help but bash honda's a little.... I shouldn't hate on them, Iwould own an s2000 in a heart beat)

- for all you honda nuts, I spotted a beautiful white s2000 for sale today in Billings.

I would like to point out that this applies to every make/model of vehicle that anyone modifies. You know what I do? Say nothing, nod my head and smile, turn around and walk away. That's how you know that I know you are full of shit. (Not you specifically, just a generalization). That is also another reason I don't participate in many of the events, etc. I get sick of people talking like they know what they're talking about. I have no problem with someone saying they don't know. Nobody knows EVERYTHING (well, save for a couple of people I know - I swear they're automotive encyclopedias), but if I don't know something I'll admit it. There's no shame in not knowing, everybody learns something new everyday...

Maybe I should buy a S2000 and we can have this challenge! What do ya think??? Stock S2000 vs Stock G35 Lewistown? ____________________SPROCK_____________________

So why memorize it right? lol

| I have a lawn tractor now. It's way faster than I thought it would be. I'll race... but it's got to be on grass..... and no rain. Oh and you have to wait till I''m done installing my B20vtec. It's almost done just trying to figure out how to hook up the PTO for the blades. But right now it's DK on grass yo.
Anyone have some SI wheels that I can put on it? I wonder if they make speed rated grass tires?
