| So, my front right tire is shot on my '73 Riv. I visited LP Anderson since that's where I bought them from years ago and, to my surprise, they no longer make the Kelly Charger with white lettering. Obviously, I don't want one black wall to stick out so I'm kinda forced to buy a new set of 4 tires. The rears are 245/65-15 and the fronts are 215/65-15 and they're mounted on Cragar SS vintage rims. I know there's a lot of experienced tire guys on these forums, so I'm reaching for some help.
What are some good places to pick up new tires? I'd like to stick with the white lettering, seeing as it's an older car, but I'd be open to a lower profile without. I know very little about tires, but I'd love so get some advice/help/criticism (15" WTF were you thinking?!? I know...). Thanks in advance!
Edit: I'm not looking to spend a ton of money, either. Thinking within $100 a tire max. | |

| Lisac's has great service. However, Expertire downtown will pricematch online prices. I usually just hunt around on Tirerack.com for a killer deal on something that Expertire has in stock. Got a set of Bridgestone Potenzas on my Talon a few years ago, normally about $140/ea for $90 each. Plus they did a free alignment check. | |

| not trying to talk crap but DO NOT go to expertire...if they're experts, its certainly has nothing to do with tires...my parents had new tires put on their 04 vette (chrome wheels) and they put the balance weights on the outside of the wheels!!! not to mention they put one on the wrong side of the wheel and had to remove it leaving big scratches...when my dad asked them to put the weights on the inside of the wheels (like "reputable" tire shops do" they said that you can't do that there is not enough clearance...funny because I had a 2000 corvette with the same wheels and the weights were on the inside...MY reccomendation is lisacs...they treat you good, have great prices, and I have never had a problem with em!!!(I should post pics of the wheels with the weights on the outside, if it was my car someone would be buyin me new wheels | |
