my buddy is look for a head for a 94 eclipse he wants a a cheap one or at least decent one jus so he can get it goin but doesnt kno if a turboed head would work.. his is not turboed. so if ya can help me out i can let him kno whats up

420a or 4g63?
If 4g63 all the 1g and 2g 4g63 heads were the same, the difference was in the pistons and ecu maps.
if he is 420a pretty much all 420a heads will work

i wish i knew the kids name but he drives a black eclipse with a 1st gen motor in it, and hes got a lotttt of parts for those motors, ill try and catch up with him in a day or so and let you know

ill have to ask him him an see which one how do u tell which is which

post a pic of the engine bay not the car itself the engine bays look completely different from each other and we'd be able to tell you almost right away

I don't think Rafe would be able to know without a pic either that's all we need is a pic b/c 420a is SOHC and 4g63 is DOHC the difference is very evident when you look at them, a 4g63 head will not work on a 420a block but they do make N/A 4g63's that's why we asked for a pic of the engine bay cuz his could be the crappy 420a or the great 4g63 IU found a place that has a N/A 6bolt 4g63 I want it soooo bad

I believe that being as his engine is DOHC it' should be able to fit a turboed head on the car unless I am wrong but I'm am almost completely certain he shoud be able to fit a turboed 4G63 head onto a N/A 4G63 block without issue

a 420a is also a dohc, but if the car is a 94 it would not have a 420a. It would be a 2.0 4g63 or a 1.83

okay for 1 you guys need to speak English and my 2nd point has another 2 points in it 1.....designing an eclipse with 2 turboes is retarded and has no effect unless building them into a compound turbo setup
