the hXcForester build thread

Hola! As some of you may know, I broke down and bought another Subaru. I just missed my old cars, missed working on them, missed driving them, missed all of you guys! haha so I got myself a 2008 Forester XT Limited, 22,000 miles. So I figured I'd start a build thread so ya'll can keep track (and I can keep track) of what all I've done. So here's the pictures that my work had on our website, meaning this is exactly what it looked like when I signed the papers, I was so happy! Anyways, here's the pics.













I've only had the car about 3 weeks now but I've already done some modding I'll post pics

gotta get the lights looking right...so I started out with some 10k HID's

LED's!



took Matt and I maybe two hours to do, hardest part was getting the LED strips to go in the right way.
I didn't stick them to the inside of my headlight, as these ones are temporary, I will be replacing the LED's
with some higher quality ones when I have the headlights out.





Noticed that my brakes felt squishy the other day, these should do the trick for now....ebay FTW!


Then I decided to paint the hats on the rotors......PURPLE! Picked up some high temp engine paint from O'reilly's
and this is how they turned out

There are still a couple areas that I need to touch up, but I plan on installing them Tuesday.

Also, took my bull bar off for now, I plan on putting it back on when I'm done doing the headlights.




Little paint blemsh from the bull bar mount, this will be fixed next week.
Most likely put on some 3M clearbra on the front bumper cover to keep this from happening again!



Bottom plate off the bull bar, I'm not sure what I'll do with this yet...I'd likt to have a custom one hydra-jetted!

Thanks guys!! I've been doin some work lol just painted the tailights...not black...but painted them red with stained glass paint, will post pics soon

Lookin good Tyler. Check out Angelo's WRX tommorow night at work, he got springs on it.

So what's your plan for the front? Gonna keep the brushguard and driving lights?
