Alright Honda people! Time for some updates on these winter projects. How many are going to have theirs out this summer? Fill us in! Give us some pictures

shhhhhhhh. dont tell anyone. I wouldn't want to be catorgorized as a Honda guy now. lol. I don't want to be hated when I go to the drag strip for my 20sec pass.

I'm doing a vitara build with my crx... Still gathering parts but as soon as I get it going ill post pics.

Well, My engine is officially finished. I just have to either get to WA to pick it up or figure out how to get it here asap.

Still waiting on my Hybrid Racing shift box to come in. However, I have had a ton of parts show up in the past week. Hopefully JW FAB will have my manifold flange cut sometime this week

Wheels, IM, VC, Motor Mount Brackets, and Cooling Plate should be back from powdercoating early this week.

Walbro pump is in my car as of Thursday Night.

Still have a bunch of stuff to get, but most I can get locally, fittings and things like that...

Lol, I can finally see the light at the end of the tunnel. The engine would have been finished a lot sooner if it weren't for me changing my mind and deciding to upgrade much more than originally planned. Oh, how I wish it would happen overnight, lol. I've spent a ton on it, but in the same respect at least I know it will be done right the first time around. I do want to shave and tuck my bay, but with my deadline tentatively set at May 1st, it just isn't going to happen. I'll save that for a project after drag season.

Its been pretty stressful I must admit and its far from over, but in the end it will all be worth it. I'm pretty stoked to see it all coming together finally.

well finally my civic runs it should of took as long as it has but its hard when u cant afford parts lol jus few minor things an exhuast an it will be ready to rip

I didnt grab pictures of the motor mount brackets, or the cooling plate, but you guys get the idea, the same satin textured finish as the IM and VC.

Motor just hit GE, ordered my intake Manifold and some other GE googies! Figured might as well since they have to ship motor back to me in few weeks! lol

Kory I've always liked those wheels. I wanted a set for my civic..... but can't have everything right? lol

I saw your cover when I picked mine up Eric, I had a feeling it was yours. He showed it to me, and I asked him if the guy who brought it in was named Eric, and he said he didn't know off the top of his head. I do like that pearl white though!

Hoping I don't hit anymore deer in my truck and cause more financial setbacks. This is where she sits as of now,



It'd be in the bay, but the halfshaft I have is apparently the wrong one (came with the package so I have no clue what it came off of). Trying to get one on the way ASAP, so I can get it in to let 73VegaGT work his magic on a manifold and downpipe, etc...

Thanks guys. Its been a long time in the making, combined with many more thousands of dollars than the initial plan was. It feels like everytime I get "ahead" I hit a "speedbump". With the advent of my grandpa becoming terminally ill and me going back to visit him, and then his passing away I have spent a lot of money on traveling lately (that isn't covered by work). I still have yet to go to his memorial, so that is going to be another dent in the K savings. Eventually it will all come together, and me being as anal as I am, I just cannot cut corners no matter how slight they may be.

I am really shooting for the July track day (at the strip). We'll see though, as I have quite a pretty penny to drop on turbo bits, and then tuning it is going to be a chore in itself. Put it this way, the picture I posted is a really nice down payment on an S2K.... like 1/2 the price of a used AP1. I wish I just had a never ending bank account, lol.

thanks man!!! yes she does i would like to paint it my self after the body work is done which isnt much but idk if i should do the paint myself or some one else do it but i dont want a 3k paint job iethert jus black is all i want nothin specail bout it

No my car wont be done. Waiting for Golden Eagle to finish block up and send it back.. Hopefully soon though. Goal is to have it done and tuned and ready for July 24th race!

i believe ill be out there if i can get my windshield replaced first before then ill race it but if not ill be watchin when is the next test an tune? besides opening day sunday

Thanks guys! I am probably more anxious to get it out than anyone. I ordered the engine harness last night and all I'd technically need now is Kpro and I could have it running NA. That wouldn't be much fun though, we're gonna need some positive pressure in there

Alright I know there have been a few in this thread that have posted that have Sport Compacts or are lurking on this site!! Lets start posting up that you are going to attend Sport compact event on July 24th, there is strenght in #'s and right now we are not to strong.. So post up that your gonna show up and race and then get your butts out in the garage and get your cars done!!

Even if your car isn't something to brag about, or will run "fast" Bring it out and see what it'll do. Its always good to have a baseline to improve from! Hondas, Acuras, Nissans Chevies, Fords Mitsus. We need all Sport Compact enthusiasts to show support for the track so they know we're serious about wanting it open to us!

And Jesse, I have no clue what you meant by that. I think that engine is the second engine he's had in the car. The first was a stock K20 I believe. Jeff has had some pretty sweet cars in the past. And he's an awesome guy to BS with. When BA and I went back to WA, I think we talked with him for over an hour or more at Speedfactory. I'm not looking to put down anwhere near 864who, but you sure as hell aren't going to get into the upper echelon of power numbers with a supercharger on these engines.

Lets remember if you sign up for the bracket class you dont have to be the fastest just the most consitent!!
