| Got a video of the proto type engine we are testing for Fj distributors. Fj USDM d15 Rods break inIts a d15b2 bottom end with the forged rods he is having us test. 75.5 vitara pistons running at around 8:1 compression. On top its a A6 head. The car this is in is a 88 crx si. We are doing a hard break in NA and this video is from one of our pulls. Engine feels really strong, we just have to bolt on the turbo parts and switch over to obd1. More info can be found on d series.org Thank you. | |

| Why suck low compression? Even on a turbo motor that is pretty low. I hated when I had 8.5:1, made a big difference going only to 9.1:1. | |

| Fuel lines are built - Thanks JW Fab for the filter bracket! Another awesome product! I still have to make a support bracket for the fuel pressure regulator. It is a Fuelab Mini FPR and doesn't weight much but some support will make me feel a little more comfortable with it, but it is where I want it for now anyways. I'm gettin somewhere at least! Forgive me for only having my blackberry to take pics with. | |

| Lol, thanks man! I'm trying to do everything the way I want it from the start. No sense in doing it all twice!
You get those seats in your car yet, or are you planning on swapping the seat pans?

The majority of vitara d series builds are pretty low comp. Mine is around 8 because of the a6 head I'm running.

| Normally the FJ rods raise the compression because there custom length. | |

| Not the case with me. Check out d series fj has lengths for these d15 rods. He also has compression calculated for the different heads. | |

| What is the thickness on your HG? Can you use a thinner one and drop that down? I just have a hard time understanding why anyone still makes pistons with that low of comp. | |

Im just running a cometic right now, not sure the thickness.. Hey eg I think those calculations are a bit old, im not sure. Me and fj calculated it out on the phone a couple weeks ago. It was like 7.7 before my head work. I got a tad bit milled off so im actually in between that 7.7 and 8. Heres the newest thread on those rods. http://www.d-series.org/forums/d-series-org-affiliates/148558-first-batch-usdm-d15-rods-2.htmlI just bought a nasty head setup that I will swap out eventually. z6 head with turbo bisimoto cam but for now im working on gettiing the turbo mounted up, and im going to stick with the current a6 head.

I agree but that post was from 2008. I'm tuning with neptune. P06 with demon moates installed. Obd1 of course. I'm getting out of the airfrorce medically so I can't do to much since I'm out of here in a month. I would love to run the car, just don't have the time.

| So now that we are gonna have a home track was wandering how many on here plan to run their cars at YDS this year?
Also IFO is hosting a event in Sept in Spokane so was just curious any plan to attend?
Really hope us locals show the new owners of YDS how much we appreciate them keeping drag racing alive in our area and show up to the track !!!

| For the most part we're all just plugging away at the cars.
Jonathan and Fox are in the process of doing the cage in my car.
Kye is 95% finished with my manifold.
Waiting on the IC Core to get here as well as the manifold GE is building for me and my Exospeed front end (should have already been here).
Still need to get AEM coming, A Kirkey, slicks... then to get it corner balanced, tuned, etc.
Yeah, we've still got a bit to do on my car.
Should be some quick FWD's running around at the track though this season, assuming we can all keep transmissions in them...
