| I got the hook up for HIDs if your interested. 40 a kit, 5000k, 8000k, 10000k, 12000k, and 30000k. I can install them and have a limited warranty on them as well. Both greddy and hks have universal mufflers that don't sound ricey but are pricey. | |

| And anyone can install wheels and an intake Laurie. Midas does a half ass job on exhaust and won't do to much high performance. Silent Knight does good exhaust work. | |

| Idk how they will treat u. Find a bolt on exhaust and I or anyone on here could put it on for you.
And GOOD turbo kits are expensive, and if u plan on running any boost at all your bottom end won't hold. You would need a forged crank, forged pistons, and forged rods. But I'm sure some one makes an exhaust for it.

| Go with a mandrel bent bolt on kit..Injen apexiws2 if they make it for your car .. hks something along those lines...I mean you can have an exhaust system built but unless its mandrel bent system why?? You have to buy a muffler and to get a good one its gonna be 2-300 then have exhaust built and installed thats another 200 at min and Im sure its more than that..So now your at 4-500 for a exhaust..Well for little more could get a good exhaust, mandrel bent from a company that has done all the research on what works and doesnt work..Well its just my opinion..What I would do.. | |

| Lol photobucket. I would keep it simple mods because soon it won't be a daily driver and won't be reliable. But remember one thing about HIDs, they are extremely bring and look cool but don't display the light as well as halogen. But if u have ever seen my white vert mustang that has 10000k hids, the blue civic has purple hids, the black accord has 12000k, and the green eclipse has 8000k. All those cars have the kits I sell. And like I said if u ever have a problem with them I have extra everything. | |

I agree. My exhaust system was 800+ and it wasn't even the best of the best. But then again I installed it myself, as I do all my stuff.

Unfortunately that is probably something you will run into most places you go to have work done. I worked in a machine shop for several years doing tear downs and some machine work and guys that came in nearly always treated me like a dumb girl. I would turbo your car, turbos are more efficient than superchargers however you would need to check into seeing how much boost the bottom end can take.

| No offense miss, but I think you're going to want to start studying hardcore before you start buying parts for your car, especially stuff like turbos and superchargers.
Also, it's either a 2.3L inline 4 or a 3.0 V6. Mazda doesn't currently have a 3.0 inline 4.
I recommend you go to forum.mazdaclub6.com and read everything you can before touching your car. With just a little research, I read the stock block can handle 8 psi before it needs to be broken into, which isn't very much. In that same thread (http://forum.mazda6club.com/2-3l-i-4/227437-turbo-2-3-6i.html) it says be ready to spend 5k for a turbo kit.
Keep in mind that if you turbo a car that wasn't turboed from the factory, you are asking for reliability problems. While getting a high quality, name brand kit will help with the reliability problems, it's still aftermarket, and it is a MAJOR mod.
I think intake and a catback is all I'd go on your car, but it's up to you on how much you want to risk it and what you want to spend.

even if they didnt, heres a link to a turbo kit http://www.turbo-kits.com/mazdaspeed6_turbo_kits.html
and Ben, with the intake, i figured the same thing, but i noticed NO difference at all.. - BlondieMt wrote:

hey kyle...you are quite a bit off..first, she clearly said its the 4-banger, and she THOUGHT it was a 3.0, but it is the 4-cylinder 2.3(obviously) and i would say that is a pretty nice turbo kit, for a helluva a lot less than $5000 haha.

| Yup research is the right way to do it. and buying and installing the turbo kit is the easy part. Tuning it is the hard part. | |

I know man, I was just helping her clarify what engine she had. Also, while the kit may be only 2400 dollars, there's a lot more to turboing a car than just a kit. Labor and a tune are the first to come to mind. Also, I didn't make the number up off the top of my head. I got it from a forum dealing with these cars, and a thread specific to this subject.
