| I posted this on BSS but I will also post here. I read about this earlier today on IWSTI and I agree with the fear of now that the competition/feud between the Evo and STi is over we might see Subaru steering away from the enthusiast market and more toward granola tree huggers that want to save the planet and drive electric toasters. Not that most of the tree huggers roll some sort of Subaru anyway (Outbacks and Foresters) but you get my drift.

| Shame. And from that article it definitely seems they are headed towards marketing granola product lines. He seems to think the EVO is bad for their image.
Mitsubishi has one of the worst environmental records of any company on the planet from what I have read. I'm guessing they want to go the extra mile and distance themselves as much as possible from their previous image. Killing off the EVO is a step towards that goal. | |

| to me there's nothing really wrong with having the electric cars in their lineup. and if that is their main focus, then that's perfectly fine cuz there really is nothing wrong with doing that. But i think the company also needs that sport car in their lineup. It makes their company exciting and enthusiastic to buyers. I think they should totally focus on electric cars, they are good for family's and people who just need a car to drive from home to work and back. But for the thrill seekers, the Evo X fills that very very well. that car is amazing. and ending that, then they will end up with the image like GeoMetro or something.. but i'm indifferent. i just wish they wouldn't kill the Evo. | |
