thats all great and everything, but... im pretty sure friends racing for free is a big reason why the track is in the situation it is( not last year, but the years since its opening up until last year)

Why would you have to win the powerball to buy it? Why not just finance it. If I had the credit history and some collateral I would pick it up, but I don't so i can't.

for that amount of money u would have to show sum way of garunteein ur income or a bank will not touch it . they demand an airtight business plan an frankly in u didnt have at least half of the purchase price in cold hard cash or in sum form of investment they would simply tell u no . u have to be able to prove u can pay for a sum that large it is really tricky to take out a loan for a millon

No, don't worry. I get what you are saying entirely. I was just simply saying that you don't have to be rich to buy expensive things. Yeah, you will need some financial backing, but it doesn't have to all be from you. Heck, I'm sure there is someone on here who has run a successful business before and might even be able to get a VC to finance the track if the business plan was rock solid.

not to mention, buying a facility, paying employees, overhead, repairs, and everything else you can think of makes getting into the track even harder when you can't really show a financiallly promising future with it. it is extremely unfortunate that we have a beautiful facility, yet it has been run so far into the ground, that no one wants to take a chance at failing.
