so when i look down at the bottom of the home page i like to see who is online, as i'm reading through is says something about a google or yahoo [bot] what does this mean? is it just yahoo and google going through the website or something?

I think it's so that google and yahoo can reference us as well as other forums

Most of the time it means there's a guest on the site that had been directed here through Google, Yahoo, Ask, etc.

I've heard also they're sheach bots so that google and whatnot can bring up pages from the site when someone does a search.
