What kinda music does everyone like to crank to get them in the racing mood? I like some good ol techno usually. Just downloaded David Guetta's album this weekend along with some Deadmau5 in preperation for Lewistown

Sinatra.......The Ecstasy of Gold by Ennio Morricone.....Pretty much anything that has huge vocals with a big symphony in the background is epic music, whether racing or not

Hah! A little old school:
Audioslavie: Shadow of the Sun. Wakes up the demons, fo sure. Screaming helps.
Most of the soundtrack from Blackhawk Down: Lock and Load. Rock and Roll. Into the shit we go.
Groove Armada, especially Hands of Time: Gots to be smoooth. All good athletes and race drivers make it look smoooth and eaaaasy.
Calexico: Dead animals in the desert. Time and speed are relative. Terminal velocity only applies to airplanes and to people jumping off bridges.
The Reverand Peyton's Big Damn Band. You never heard of these guys. But they are great. Blues/country/zydeco/gangsta grass. They have even more weird and more torque than you and your car.
If all that is too intense for you, then how about 409, by the Beach Boys?

back when I had a stereo in a car that I could race, I always enjoyed a little bit of techo while hittin up the SCCA events. However I am with Nels at this point, the only sound I listen to now is the beutful exhaust tone of the Bee*R complimented by the woosh of the blitz bov. Good thing for all of you at lewistown you will get to hear it too, even if you have a stereo and it's turned all the way up!

I have a RACING MIX that I always listen to when I drive. Most of it is very hard alternative (yelling).
The harder the better I always say!

The one song that always gets me in the racing mood is by the Bensassi Bros, Feel Alive... idk why it just makes me want to go faster
Watch Old school and when they are driving the van chasing people and Metallica comes on, that's what gets me going. Too bad I'm too lazy to make a new CD after that one got stolen in my CD player. I've been working on a new mix the last few days. Probably have some Maiden on there too.

I have to find the short in one of my wires before I can even have radio. Every little bump I hit the speakers cut on and off I've been using just my ipod plugged into an external speaker that's crammed into my dash vents. Hopefully I can fix it before the weekend or it'll be a quite ride!

Just kidding. The engine in my car would probably die and never start again, even if I played it in jest.

You know I spent all that time getting the CD ready for the track and the disk never even made it out of the truck. Just thought I would throw that out there.
