In Loving Memory Of Josh Whitcomb "King of the Streets"

Josh was the first car guy who I talked to when I moved here. Really was a great guy, he will be missed

I recieved word late last night. Very saddening and Very unfortunate. If anyone needs anything, please let me know. Also, please keep us posted on arrangements. I will try my damndest to be at the services. I didn't know Josh as well as some on here may have, but he was always willing to lend a helping hand. June 13th will forever be the day that two of Billings' largest car enthusiasts will be remembered for me.

Josh, I know you're up there flipping BA shit about Hondas, and BA, I know you're flipping it right back. RIP, both of you. You will always be remembered.

I am heading out of town right now for work, and will try to stay updated on this site, assuming I have an internet connection. If someone could please keep me updated on when services will be, my number is 406-672-9529 (please include who you are, so I can save the number). I will try my damndest to get away from work (hopefully I will be in town) to make it.

rip josh, never knew him but from the looks of his car he seemed to have my kinda taste.

I just found out today and I am very saddened by this. Josh was a great friend and we got pretty close over the years through our love for cars. very sad news, we were just joking on friday about how much faster his car was than my little escort. When I tried to tell him his car was awesome, he was always so humble about it, yet a little proud too. He loved this hobby and was very creative and unique. He will definitely be missed in the billings car community. My condolences to his friends and family.

I just googled "smiley with crown" and that was the only one like it that came up. I'll see if I can find a better one.

Josh you will be missed!!! I remember when I was in high school and I didn't know you yet, but I knew that you were "the one with the fastest car." Heck, we just hung out last wednesday and friday night!!! I'm still in disbelief, and extremely saddened....you will ALWAYS be KING OF THE STREETS! R.I.P.

These should be easy to get made up I would think. I just made this out of a separate crown and smiley.

I was in shock this morning when Shawn asked me if i knew anything. Shortly after i spoke to my friend jim and found out. His family will need a ton of support through this. A very dear friend of mine took his life in my house last November so i understand fully what his family is going through.

Josh you were and still are the King Of the Streets .

I love the new banner Mike and I think that idea will be PERFECT for the stickers! I'll take off my unamused sticker and replace it with the King

I never got to meet Josh, but judging by what I've read I missed out. My thoughts and prayers are with Josh's family and I'm extremely sad that we had to lose someone like Josh in this fashion.

I met Josh quite a while ago at my house back when he was gimping around with his cane after this accident at work. Over the last almost year i got to know josh pretty well. He was over here (Alderson House) for those that know this place, a lot and i got to know him pretty well. Played pool with him many a times at the West. About 2 months ago when he came over for one of our parties he asked me..
"Did you get a little card on your car today?"
"ya sure did, you put it on there?"
"No lol but this guy that i know who is also part of the club came up to me and said hey i saw this awesome blue 2 door car today says skyline on the plates.. man that thing was sweet i got a card on his window"
Josh then proceeded to tell me that i should come on here and sign up for an account, come to a couple of the gatherings, and if anyone gave me crap for anything just to mention his name and that i was good friends with him and that anyone in the club would practically bow to me... knowing Josh's confident attitude i laughed and said "haha alright sure, ill sign up"
week or two went by and he asked me again "you ever go sign up on M.A.E.C?" over and over he asked me... i never found the time to get on here and sign up, thinking.. oh its just another enthusiast group somewhere to swap ideas no body on those sites ever cares about who they are actually talking to...

Getting to my point I knew Josh as a personal friend and never knew him around his cars hobby, everyone that was ever around us always respected and cared for him. I can see now that that respect that he held around everyone i knew went a lot farther into a community that from this thread obviously shows that he was truly respected and loved by almost everyone he met... I am really sorry that i took this happening for me to me finally make time to get on and sign up on here after he has asked my at least 6 times.

RIP Josh! You will truly be missed!

I never met him, but from what I've read on here he was a great guy. Sad to lose someone so young.

I am Josh's wife. I sincerely thank everyone for all of the heartfelt things you have all said. We are all very saddened by what has happened. Josh and I were going through some hard times, but I loved him more than anything. I always have and always will. Josh and I were not going through a divorce, we were separating to look at our own problems within ourselves, so that we could get better for each other. I truly hoped for a better tomorrow, with my husband by my side. No one knew our demons except us. I know that some of you will blame me for what has happened and I understand that, don't think that I don't blame myself. I have never felt this kind of pain before, and all I ask as his wife is that you all keep our families and friends in your hearts and prayers through this trying time. I love you Joshy Washy...

When Todd told me about this this morning I was floored; I've known Josh for a few years now; exchanging brief words at our first meeting (he noticing how much smaller my turbo was than his... me saying he was overcompensating), and escalating to full on discussions about fabrication and hardware. Josh was a great guy; he was so enthusiastic about his hobby (neigh, lifestyle?), and could always be counted on to let everyone around him know about how awesome his latest automotive accomplishment was. Despite this, he was loved in the local community as both a self-proclaimer, and one of the most avid fabricators/drag-racers that I have ever met. I doubt I'll ever meet anyone like him again, but that's okay, because as far as I'm concerned, no one could ever replace him as the 'king of the streets'; he just had the style and the balls to pull it off.

Josh, you'll be missed dearly by all of us. I'm sure we'll all get a little misty at the next meet, noticing the obvious absence of his obnoxiously loud turbotudor. That said, rest in peace man... we'll be thinking of you.

I am truely going to miss Josh....he always like to give me crap about my Saleen. It was a Ford thing and we would laugh about it. He was shocked when I told him I rebuilt automatic trannys for a living, cause he thought I was some computor expert.....then he thought I was alright being a tranny rebuilder. Used to enjoy talking to him at the car meets and at Albertson's parking lot on 24th. My thoughts and prayers go to Josh's wife and his family!

I love how everyone has the same story to say about him "pokin shit at my car." He had a way of trash talking your car and making you smile about it. He's always encouraged me to push it farther and if it brakes, buck up buttercup and fix it! When I told him I was only running 7psi he called me a pussy and told me to turn it up to 15
I will miss you Josh, you've been part of my life ever since I moved to Billings and found the car scene and any meets, cruises, or races will never be the same without your smiling face. Rest in piece buddy, say hi to BA and my buddy Dusty for me!

Josh was a great guy. always willing to help another enthusiast out. I remember the first time i met josh many years ago when we raced. he always flipped me shit about dumping the clutch and just smoking my tires. he called me smoke after that. he will be missed by many. but never forgotten. R.I.P bud cant believe your gone.

met josh once and he looked like a hard ass but he was actually a really nice guy and it was funny to listen to him give people shit, also me and my buddies admired what he did with his car because it was so unique and one of a kind just like he was. you will be missed greatly RIP josh

That's the same thing I thought! LOL Shaved head and all talking smack about my "POS Vette". After we raced, we bonded. I'll miss him dearly.

hi it is very said that one of the greatest guys around is gone.i have known josh for a lot of good years.he gave that real tough guy look from the outside but a real marshmellow on the inside.i know in life there are only a few things that are important, (!) family friends and cars.i do know that is how josh felt.i do know that josh touched so many peoples hearts,mine for sure.i hope that every one forgets about the negitive that happened and remembers all the positive he maid us become.i can see josh right now prepping the launch pad with a huge sprayer of pimp juice in one hand and a mountian dew in the other.can you all see that giant aazzzz smile on his face.i know i can.i truley hope we see the turbotuter on the streets agian real soon,if not god bless. there once was a man who stood almost 6 ft tall with a smoke and a smile he would laugh at us all. not eveyone knew that his life was all turned around,but he would take life by the horns and drag race so many more rounds. i hope and i pray some day so far away that we can race together til eturnity. i knew Josh back from in high school we hung out and 24th alot his nickname back then was Juice i still cant believe hes gone i talked to him thursday then again on friday nite and everything seemd fine for the most part i was shocked when i got a text from my friend bout him i couldnt believe it i will always remember the good times wit him and keep him in my prayers he was a great friend R.I.P Josh we will all miss u very much and we love u ! It was damn near everywhere. I couldn't talk to anybody without someone bringing up Josh. It's crazy how far his impact reached in this town and throughout this community. A well respected person in my book.

I talked to Britney today and got the info for the funeral...

It will be held at Michelotti-Sawyers on 10th and Alderson on Friday June 18th at 10am.

She says CASUAL, come as you are...
