| *UPDATE MAY 30 2010*Great meet everyone. Could not have asked for a better day, minus the wind. Thanks again. *UPDATE MAY 24 2010*5 DAYS LEFT!!!*UPDATE MAY 15 2010*We will be meeting @ All American once again this year. We will be leaving at 4:00am SHARP! More than likely there will be a second group as there was last year, but I dont know what time they will be leaving. Someone that is going to be in the second group will have to post a time. I will be @ All American around 3:15 - 3:30. *UPDATE MAR 10 2010*We have insurance, so I am now accepting payment for the day. It will be $45 or $35 if paid before April 29th. My paypal account is doodiehd@hotmail.com or you can just pay in person at a meet. If you are unable to make the meet there WILL NOT BE A REFUND, so make sure you are 100% sure you are going. If for some reason the meet gets canceled, everyone that paid will be fully refunded. *UPDATE JAN 26 2010*DATES ARE SET LADIES AND GENTLEMEN!!! May 29th and September 11th. Prices are going to be slightly higher, but $50 for a full day of racing is not much. I will be accepting payment through Paypal 'doodiehd@hotmail.com' or you can just pay me in person (if you paypal make sure you send it as a gift so there is no fee attached). Being that I would like to have the track paid for in full before the meet, I am going to initiate a $10 discount for those of you who pay before April 29th and August 11th making it $40 for the day. Still kind of kicking around the insurance problem, but hopefully that will iron itself out. If you know anyone that would be able to assist with insurance, please let me know. Hope to see you there!! **PRICES ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE DEPENDING UPON INSURANCE SPONSORSHIP***UPDATE JAN 19 2010*--------------------------- Spoke with Michelle today and I am awaiting a call from the new representative of OPI. I guess Michelle gave her all of my information and I should hopefully hear from her here in the next week or so. OPI is still in the process of booking the days they will need for their workshops, so we have to be patient and wait until their dates are finalized. --------------------------- *UPDATE JAN 18 2010*--------------------------- Waiting for Michelle to contact me about cost and scheduling. I checked the calendar and it looks as though anytime May - Sept we are good. I would like to get everyones opinion on what the best date would be for a good turnout. Cost will be roughly $50-$60 for the day. Depending on the turnout we might have to do 2 run groups, but everyone will have plenty of track time. Still kind of hoping Vern will sponsor us with insurance, but I would like a PLAN 'B' if anyone has a connection with an insurance agent. It is just a standard $1,000,000 policy to cover the facility. Any help getting this organized and figured out in any way would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. --------------------------- I am not sure if I have told everyone yet, but it seems as though me may have complications for the track next year. From what I am told the price for the track may 'double' depending upon how much they made the last 3 years, let me explain. Every 3 years they do a chip sealing on the track to keep it up. This year the chip sealing was $9000, where as 3 years ago it was $5000. I am not sure if the price will be going up or not, but I will know nothing until January, as that is when OPI will select their dates for their driving classes and nothing can be schedule until then. Also, we may have to find an insurance carrier next year. Vern was very hesitant this last time to let us use the insurance, but I was able to convince him we would be safe. Everything worked out, but now I am going to be afraid to ask him. Not sure if anyone has connections in the insurance field, but any help on this issue would be greatly appreciated. Hang in there just a couple more months and all the details should be worked out. I hate dropping bombs.

| I'm willing to pay more for next year, as long as it's not outragous. IF the price does go up quite a bit then we may just have to scheduale only one big meet to afford it...... | |

| I can only assume it will be around $50-$60 for the day and that would not include insurance. If we cannot find sponsorship we are going to be hosed. Hope something comes about. | |

| Regardless of the price, I will always pay. I will pay 2 for 1 just to make sure it happens. I am one of the largest supporters of track racing. As for insurance.. I can talk to my boss at Ace Hardware... I doubt he would be willing to, but he does love me... | |

| UPDATE UPDATE UPDATE UPDATE UPDATE UPDATE UPDATE UPDATELaides and Gentlemen, I may have some good news. I sat and BS'd with Vern the other day for about an hour and of course the problem with the upcoming Lewistown 2010 meet came up. I was telling him how much the track is going to be raising their prices and also the problems with insurance. I told him the meet would probably not happen as there is too much money to be held accountable for. He was really not slow to jump in and say he may be willing to give us sponsorship again next year, but he is not 100% sure yet. So, we may actually have a 2010 track day.... YAY!! I love Vern so much!! Note, this is not 100% like I said, but he sounded real sincere when he said it is a possiblity. Keep your fingers crossed! After talking with Vern he also gave me the idea of how to work the pricing for the upcoming season. It is going to be a little different, but I have to make the changes to try and get the money before we hold the meet, unlike the last two times where everyone just pays when we get there. Being that Vern is responsible for holding multiple off-road meets a year, he is very knowledgable in getting things organized and finalized. He gave me the idea of making a different kind of payment plan, which he uses for all of his off-road events. I came up with a rough estimate of how much it will cost for the day (going by what Michelle said) and it will be $60 total. From what Michelle said, it seems like they will be doubling the track price as the chip sealing was twice as much as the prior years, hence the doubling of the track price per person. I am hoping to keep it cheaper than that, but with the information I have right now nothing is set in stone. Now, for people that sign up and pay in advance it will be $60. If you wait till the last minute to pay (before the meet) it will be $80 for the day, and if you wait till the day of the meet it will be $100. This is what Vern does with all of his meets and he says it works out well to try and get people to pay in advance. Makes sense. So, if you are planning on attending next year please PM me and I will start a list. I will not be accepting any money until we know for sure what the cost is going to be, which will be in January. I will be setting a deadline once I know the exact day of the meet, once past the deadline you will be accountable for the extra charge if you wish to race. I am really hoping to keep the charge @ $40 or below, but it just depends on how many people we get signed up. PM me now so I can get the list started. | |

this is jdmsolutions, accidently posting on my roommates screen name once again ill plan on it. im making a ton of progress on my car this week so well see! also it depends on if i decide to break down and buy s300. because it will take me a while to save up for that and my car really is terribly slow on motor! i think i ran a 15.5 with my last motor, and that was a piston/rods and crower 402 cam setup. haha i should have went vtec! | JP, let me know what you can do about the insurance. I am not 100% sure about Vern sponsoring us next year, so I just want to make sure that insurance is covered before it comes close to that time. All we need is a $1,000,000 policy for the day. If you could get me some numbers that would be great. | |
